5.0 out of 5 stars An essential guide, 7 Jun 2010
Anyone leaving Jura's only road on foot, and trying to negotiate its rugged and inhospitable terrain, soon discovers not only the island's pristine beauty but also how easy it can be, especially in misty weather, to get lost or to get bogged down - literally. Peter Edwards' fine new book is an essential guide for determined walkers who wish to find their way to Jura's wildest shores and summits with the minimum of difficulty.
The author also guides us around neighbouring Islay and Colonsay in a pocket-sized book packed with useful map sections, fine photographs and an abundance of information about the islands' histories, geology, flora and fauna.

5.0 out of 5 stars The repressed always returns, 12 Aug 2009
The repressed always returns and in this lyrical study of Berlin, Nicholas Sinclair gives us glimpses of the sub-culture of the city which bears witness to so many of the traumas and transformations of the twentieth century. His painterly photographs are rich in references to the work of some of the great artists of that century, including Kurt Schwitters, Cy Twombly and Robert Motherwell.
