5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant, Bon Iver part 2, 21 Feb. 2011
This review is from: James Blake (Audio CD)
This is a brilliant album, no doubt about it. You can tell straight away that each blip/vocal/gap has been thought through thoroughly, yet it never sounds forced. On first listen it was impressive, but now I have played it for a few weeks I have developed a deep love for each and every track. Yes, it hints at Bon Iver in parts, but this is clearly just influence rather that just straight plagiarism. Like Bon Iver's debut - this album needs time to make its genius apparent. Not sure if this debut is a classic like For Emma, but I would'nt be suprised if I was still playing and enjoying it in many years to come.

5.0 out of 5 stars Stunning and definltely a grower., 4 Feb. 2010
This review is from: The Courage Of Others (Audio CD)
On the first few listens the album is simply just 'nice' and the songs seem fairly repetitive. However, as with all great albums, repeated listening will reward you with an absolute stunner of an lp.
The moment it clicked for me was whilst listening to it on headphones, whilst walking along a deserted beach in the middle of the night. Easily as good as The Trials Of Van Occupanther and in my opinion a more rewarding album.

Amazing graphics, amazing music, amazing gameplay and really great fun. Plus Stephen Fry is the voice. Whats not to like?
