3.0 out of 5 stars Good start, but mixed a little to complex in places...............not enough about the Moon Landing Conspiracy!!!, 17 Mar 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Bought this following listening to Ben Miller on the "Infinite Monkey Cage" with Professor Brian Cox.

Didn't realise that Ben Miller was a physiscist and a keen one at that. The book initially provided a really good introduction to Astronomy and Physics, but started to wander off and get a little too complex to follow in places.

I had been particularly looking forward to the tratise around disarming the Moon Landing COnspiracy theory that had been eluded to on the "Infinite Monkey Cage", bit this was a bit of a let down as there was nothing new in what was said!

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Insight, 17 Mar 2013

Really got the the essence of the "movement" and the insight to the people in the build up to the Punk Era and to see what they were up to prior to Punk was the heart of a really good book on this subject.

(My old band get a mention as well, which was a surprise, although not all the facts are as I recall them!)

Well written and structured!

3.0 out of 5 stars I'm in it!!!!, 17 Mar 2013

One for the officiandos, but having played in a Band that's in the book, it was interesting to see the detail about other Bands of "our" time.

(Some of the factd about us were a little incorrect!)

Still got some bands to read up on, but it's the kind of book you can dip in and out of!

3.0 out of 5 stars Entertaining, but lost it's way a litle..........., 17 Mar 2013

Very entertaining to start with, but lost it's was a little towards the end, espececially skimmimg over the reality TV at the end..

Would have liked to see a little more of the things we don't know much about, like the Jazz Music, but overall humurous.
