Some great and not so great tales. Some have dated badly but others still work rather well. Worth the money and the effort.

5.0 out of 5 stars a nice quick read, 21 Jun 2013

This short story is just the thing if you have some time on your hands, several of the chemicals that are in this story are real and act exactly as described in the story. What a great way to weave real and unreal things together.

5.0 out of 5 stars Warp you Mind, 22 Aug 2009

The books starts of a little slow and then just does not stop. Ideas and concepts, (lots that I had never heard of) are thrown out there and used to great effect, that keeps this story moving.

For several hours of entertainment, which will also make you stop and think this is a good book to pick up.

4.0 out of 5 stars Baxter's Flood, 22 Aug 2009
This review is from: Flood (Paperback)
I happen to like Stephen Baxter and the way that he writes, some folks don't like it in that it's the ideas that you get from Stephen not character portraits.

I read for entertainment, and nothing else.

So did Flood entertain?

Yes the opening of the book grips you and does take you on a journey that a long with Stephen's writing style lets you the reader see it all perfectly!

The scale of the disaster is huge and it all just happens and it's all great entertainment, it's worth the money and your time to see how the world could end.
