Bought two of these, one white and one black and i'm well impressed. the first was bought as an add on item (Amazon fulfilled) to bump my order over a tenner (slab was £6 at the time) Didn't expect much but it works flawlessly. So impressed I was, I then bought another, they have a reassuring weight to them.

Both work fine, will charge everything including iPads. The white finish is better in my opinion, the black shows up scratches too easily. Only negative point, the blue status LEDs are far far too bright and are a waste of energy. When the pack is in use or charging they're so bright they illuminate an entire room.

2.0 out of 5 stars Poor for BT - Multiple Issues, 18 Nov. 2014
Bought the Twin set to replace an older BT DECT phone set and found the following issues:

The phone has an echo, you can clearly hear yourself in the ear piece if you hold the phone like a phone, to defeat this you need to hold the phone mouth piece away from your mouth or use the speaker phone.

There is an annoying delay when you answer the phone. It connects you around two seconds after you press the button meaning you end up saying hello multiple times, and the caller at the other end gets greeted with "lo" depending on how fast you are at answering.

The main base on ours has been problematic when it comes to charging, the second charge stand is also going the same way. The spring loaded contacts on both bases are flimsy and bend after little use, they also get dirty and require cleaning with alcohol (not the drinking kind) every now and again.

Other than the above we've had no issues with other aspects of the phone, such as reception which we found to be the best out of all the previous BT DECT phones we've owned.

We've only had ours 6 weeks, they'll soon be going back. Some of the issues might sound trivial but they get annoying after a while, we've had multiple sets of BT cordless phones over the years and this is the worse set we've had.

2.0 out of 5 stars a mixed bag - reliability issues, 9 July 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I've bought a couple of these and had mixed luck.

The one I use on my main desktop works fine, running a USB wireless LAN adapter full time and the occasional flash drive or memory card and I've never had issues with devices dropping in and out.

The one I use on my other computer on the other hand regularly disconnects devices attached to it, it has a couple of flash drives attached full time and an SD card. The slightest movement of the hub can cause it to disconnect one or all of the devices monetarily - I've also checked its not down to a bad or broken connection.

I think the issue with these hubs is down to a cheap, poorly shielded USB cable and the hub not being able to provide enough current to power devices. On both mine if I attach a USB powered fan to the hub and nothing else it spins significantly slower than if it were attached to a case/motherboard USB port. The bright blue LED might have something to do with it.

Even though these can be slightly unreliable they still work - most of the time.

Just to update this, having just acquired a decent USB charger doctor - both my PNY hubs have issues delivering power as i previously thought. With nothing connected the Hub has 4.7v available, with one USB D-link WiFi adapter voltage drops to 4.4v, add a USB Thumb drive and the voltage hovers just above 4v with both items pulling a combined 300ma from the ports on the hub. The Hub is getting the full 5.1v from the port its plugged into. This is or could be the cause of all the reliability issues reported.

5.0 out of 5 stars decent no frills AM3+ Motherboard., 18 May 2014

I bought one to replace a failing Asus board after 3.5 years of near 24/7 use - not bad going. I had considered a complete upgrade but being tight as I am bought this for £29.99 instead. Luckily for me it had the same chipset as the board it replaced so there was no re-install of Windows 7 and it was a simple swap job.

Not much else to say really, it works but it does have some niggles which i've outlined below, none of which are deal breakers but Gigabyte could have laid the board out slightly better. Amazon really should update their stock photo, the 5.1 revision board I received is slightly different to the stock photo. It's laid out the same but has a different Northbridge heat sink and all solid polymer capacitors (a good thing)

Niggles:

Badly placed front audio header.
Badly placed system fan header.
Oddly placed font panel switch/led header.
PCI-E x1 not accessible if you use a double slot graphics card.
No smart fan control on the system fan.

It's an excellent little compressor, does exactly what it says on the box. The white led light is far from bright, the same can be said for the red flashing/SOS led's too but it's better than nothing. It pumps a tyre up perfectly and the built in back-lit LCD pressure gauge is reasonable accurate, within 1.5psi of my old school pop-up pressure gauge.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent read, 13 May 2013
A good read for anyone interested in what goes on behind the scenes in Scientology. It's far from boring and gives a pretty detailed account of one mans life working directly under the unhinged head of scientology.

I just hope I'm not "fair gamed" for writing this short review.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Monitor for the price. . . ., 1 Oct. 2012
Pros:

Excellent screen uniformity on the monitor I received with no backlight bleed
No dead or stuck pixels on my unit
Extremely thin and light weight
Barely gets warm when in use
Full compliment of inputs with the exception of DP
Doesn't suffer from "IPS Glow" as much as I thought it would
Excellent Colours and viewing angle, beats a Samsung PVA Monitor hands down

The Con and in my opinion there's only one:

The monitor is extremely flimsy and feels cheaply made. The back panel flexes with the slightest touch and the stand is made from plastic only slightly thicker than the stuff used to make ice cream tubs. The result is a very wobbly monitor, wobbles more than my wobbly Samsung P2770HD which is renowned for its wobble lol. Still though, the excellent PQ makes up for its wobbly shortcomings.

5 Stars from me :D

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent little vac for 12 quid!, 24 May 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Bought this because it was cheap at the time and most of the flooring in our home is hard wood. I wasn't expecting much but it's actually quite handy and works a treat!

It's pretty well made with strong plastics and, for a glorified hand vac has a quality heavy feel to it. It does what it says on the tin, picks up well and is simples to use.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect, Reliable & Does The Job Nicely !, 3 Feb. 2012
I've been through a couple of cheap generic Freeview Recorders in the past twelve months and they've all proved to be very un-reliable, some useless.

This Humax on the other hand has been spot on and it's never missed a recording. Build quality is excellent, it's heavy and solidly made. The TV guide is clear and the box in general is simple's to use. Also as a bonus the box I received was fitted with a 320GB Hard Drive and not the 160GB Drive it states on the advert. The picture quality on my LG 42LD450 TV though an RGB Scart cable is excellent, better than the TV's built-in Freeview and far better than a standard definition feed from a Sky HD box.

Negative points: the supplied Scart cable is useless, using it I thought the box was faulty as it was like watching a badly tuned analogue station. Buy or use your own, a proper fully wired & shielded RGB cable.

4.0 out of 5 stars Solid power supply, 17 Jan. 2012
Solid power supply. Excellent build quality and the textured black matt finish look's excellent, pretty good cable length too compared to other brands. It never let me down after 7 months of near 24/7 use. It's very quite when in use and runs more or less cold. Only criticism of this is the loud squeal it makes when the system is either off or in standby. Tried two and both were the same, even when they weren't connected to a motherboard they still squealed. Not really an issue but if your computer's in your bedroom and you have sensitive hearing you might want to take this into consideration as it will drive you nuts! Still a sold power supply and for the price you cant go wrong!
