The Secret Race: Inside the Hidden World of the Tour de France: Doping, Cover-ups, and Winning at All Costs
by Tyler Hamilton

Having been a long-time enthusiastic follower of the Tour De France, the book was both shocking and disappointing. However, I'm left with the feeling that Tyler Hamilton has finally done the sport a great service by presenting it with a golden opportunity to clean itself up once and for all. This book was a great antidote to all those 'tell-all' memoirs that end up telling you absolutely nothing at all.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Spiffing Read!, 27 Feb. 2012

This book is a terrfic read. Many of the conspiracies are familiar, but Shircore usually succeeds in shining a bright light on new aspects. Some of the subjects are genuinely unfamiliar and fascinating insights are provided. A particularly valuable feature are the web references which allow you to visit a lot of the source material for yourself. This is a well written book and you don't need to be a conspiracy theorist to enjoy it. It will ensure that your train or plane journey will go by in a flash!
