Right off the bat I will say this - DS3 is nowhere as good as the 1st (the best IMO) or the 2nd. Those games were survival-horror (SH). This ones not. They have also run out of ways to scare. Someone new to DS playing DS3 for the first time will get scared no doubt, or at least be made to jump. But once you see the chest-level walls & *human opponents* appear....uh oh CHEESY SHOOTER ALERT!! Also ridiculous that you can only carry 2 weapons. Im finding the game a slog and we all know its so linear but sometimes is SO linear you feel like you are playing an interactive animated movie. And the BORING fetch quests. Get this. Do that. Go there. Solve this. Pull train cars together. Yawn. Where is the Alien-style SH game DS1 was so brilliant at?

And the pick-up annoyances with their annoying noises. Holo-alerts in your face all the time. Ammo pack. Med pack with that electronic squawk noise!

Positives...it looks great even though theres nothing ground breaking here. I found disabling VSYNC on Eyefinity improved performance but thats on my rig and there are so many different configs out there. Also looks great sent to a big TV. Some nice weapon animations when you bring them up to aim. If you look at it from the POV of a mindless shooter then yes...you can have fun with this game. In the meantime the wait for a truly great SH goes on.....

Nothing much to say really. If you love the contest and the catchy hyper-cheesey songs then get this. Although I have to say there are some nice songs on here that are as good as what you hear in the charts. Ukraines vocalist Zlata is brilliant. Even if you dont like the song she can really sing. Margaret from Norway also has a brilliant song. Kind of like industrial metal feel to hers. Admittedly theres also a lot of junk songs on here so unless you are a die-hard fan youre gonna be doing a LOT of skipping!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Does what it says - secures your huge TV, 16 Jun 2013

If you have a massive TV on a stand then you notice they are kind of unstable. However if like me you dont want to wallmount your TV then this is an ideal solution. Its a clamp that fits to the back of the TV and a vice grips the table surface securing the TV and protecting it from falling over. Two kinds of securing kits are supplied. One uses a big fat plastic wedge that you turn to clamp down on the stand. No tools needed. The other one is where it actually screws INTO the stand. This will only work on a wooden stand. I wouldnt do it for MDF. Im happy with this as my big 60 incher is now so much more stable and safe!

TV Protector 60" - 62" ULTIMATE Anti UV TV Screen Protector for LCD LED Plasma 3D HDTV
TV Protector 60" - 62" ULTIMATE Anti UV TV Screen Protector for LCD LED Plasma 3D HDTV

4.0 out of 5 stars Worth the money if you have a large expensive new TV, 16 Jun 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is a thick slab of perspex that protects the very delicate screens found on LCD TVs. Its not cheap but if you have spent a lot of money on your new TV and want to protect that screen then definitely consider this screen protector. Its a big, heavy and solid thing - far heftier than what it looks in the pictures. In fact you will think another TV is being delivered when this thing arrives! It comes with a bunch of plastic glue-on spacers that you need to stick to the outer edge of this protector. This provides the clearance between the protector and the screen. It then secures with two straps on the back. I was surprised at how thick it is - it will easily resist an errant Wii remote flying at it.

There are however 2 downsides: It scratches very easily and attracts dust like a magnet. No matter how carefully you dust it, no matter how soft the cloth - you will leave very light scratches on it. But I need to stress something. These micro-scratches are only visible when you have youre nose jammed up against it!! So I dont worry too much at all. Screen looks just fine. Apart from that Im very happy with this. The sheer piece of mind is worth it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wicked symphony/gothic metal :-), 13 Oct 2012

This review is from: The 13th Floor (Audio CD)
Awesome CD, the song-writing & melodies are wicked. Ailyn's vocals are spot-on and she is totally enjoying being the main vocalist for this cool band. Others have already given detailed reviews so I'll just pick my fav track: Path To Decay.

Wow. That is all. Brilliant tune, awesome vocal and the choir bit at the end will have you standing up and saluting. I really hope they come out with loads of new stuff and use the choir more.

4.0 out of 5 stars Well-made, good to exercise in but wear something underneath to prevent sweat showing, 13 Oct 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Im really happy with these, I initially ordered a couple to check em out but ended up getting 8 of them. I use them to work out in. They are comfortable and they look good, got a lot of nice compliments :) Its pretty much a form-hugging t-shirt with a hoodie on the back. I just wish they had them in more colours!

A tip: they are very comfortable but also really thin. Perspiration WILL show through as huge wet patches. This happened to me the very first time I used them. To prevent this you'll have to wear a tanktop underneath.

4/5 stars - would have given it 5/5 if it was made of thicker material.

2.4GHz RF Wireless Keyboard with Smart Touchpad Mouse for MCE Media Center Edition
2.4GHz RF Wireless Keyboard with Smart Touchpad Mouse for MCE Media Center Edition

3.0 out of 5 stars Works well but has some design flaws, 8 Jan 2012
Ive just received this and have been using it for the past 3 hours. I use it while sitting on the couch in the living room to control a Dell laptop hooked up to my 32" HDTV. The first thing you notice is that this is a full-size keyboard and so does not easily lend itself to slouching around on a couch and using it. You have to place it on your lap or maybe on the cushion beside you (if youre lying down on your sofa). You will also notice sore wrists after about 30 minutes of use. Some observations:

(1.) The keyboard freaks out for a couple of seconds - it wont work during this time but then comes back to life. This doesnt happen often though.
(2.) It has a touchpad that takes some getting used to but it works resonably well. Again this has a habit of temporarily not registering swipes or taps
(3.) The keyboard has a "smart" touchpad and the instruction manual says it recognizes iPad-like swipes like pinching to zoom in etc. - but none of these gestures work! The only gesture Ive found that works is the double-finger tap that simulates the middle-mouse button push. A CD is supplied that installs the SmartPad driver and icon that sits in the system tray. But even when you enable all the gestures in this app - none of them work!
(4.) The keys have a squishy feel and you keep wanting to check to see if its registered a key-press.
(5.) A good feature - lots of VERY handy buttons for volume, forward-back (web pages) My Computer, Windows Media Center, full Media Controls and some other handy ones like a dedicated button to pull up Windows Calculator.
(6.) Another good feauture - the keyboard goes to sleep after 30 minutes to save battery life.

So its a mixed bag - its a smart looking gadget but at the same time its too big for use in the living room. The built-in touchpad is a really great idea and 95% of the time it works just fine. Im not loosing any sleep over that. Im not thinking about those tiny smart-phone sized remotes. After all you want one of these things mainly for entertainment. If you need to write a Word document go back to your desktop PC!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent cellphone! Tough, simple and great batt life., 25 April 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I am really happy with the Solid Immerse. Its a really well-designed tough cellphone. If you want big phat touchscreens and surf a lot on the net while youre out and about - this phone is not for you. Instead what you get is a tough no-nonsense cell with a lot of neat features. There are no moving parts for starts so no sliding, swiveling nonsense anywhere - one less thing to fail. It feels good and weighty in the hands. It is a toughphone and is very well sealed up. There is only one opening on the side and thats for the charger/headphone/computer connection (one port for all three). Of course it too is sealed up by a tough rubber door.

At last Samsung has sorted out its predictive text and typing on this is much more fun and easier than my past Samsung cells (the Soul was awful). The buttons are easy to press and give good tactile feedback. The battery life to me is amazing. I charged it 6 days ago and its still got 70% charge. And this is with continuous use. Oh yea even the battery compartment is sealed in with a screw!

Its got some neat apps - GPS, Facebook, Twitter, digital compass (woot!) and all that good stuff. The intergrated flashlight is awesome and is such a good idea you wonder why more companies dont do this. Its a bright LED. The sound is excellent with a crisp loud speaker. Its a very good MP3 player as well.

Being a toughphone you can safetly jabber away on this during a rainshower while everyone else around you runs screaming for cover before their smartphones get wasted :P (Unless you have a Motorola Defy which is a hardened smartphone!)

The camera - well dont expect award-winning pictures but it takes decent shots in daylight and with good interior lighting. Its only a 2MP job. But then again - people dont buy this phone to take good pictures. If thats what you want go for the Sony phones.

Downsides to this phone:

1. The camera lens stays exposed (wish it had its own rubber lens cover) so if youre very outdoorsy - take care
2. There is no flash for the camera.
3. I might be mistaken but I dont see a way to assign a custom *TEXT* tone to a contact. You can of course assign a custom RING tone to any contact but I wish you could do the same with a text tone. This was a feature on the Soul so Im wondering why they got rid of it. It was a really useful feature. Again not a big deal.

I highly recommend this phone. It wont win beauty awards but it will serve you well and you can truly use it while camping, trekking etc without worrying if you get soaked or if you drop it in a puddle!
