5.0 out of 5 stars Awaken the health sceptic, 27 April 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Prepare to have everything you ever though you knew about diet and health blown apart. Dr Briffa uncovers the half truths and lies we've all been fed for so many years. Shame on the medics, big pharma and agricultural industries. I just wonder how many years it's all going to take to undo?

5.0 out of 5 stars Tasty, quick and easy recipes, 30 Oct 2011
Being an omnivore I am conscious that we generally eat too much meat, so I decided that after Hugh's other books I'd try this one. It did not disappoint. The recipes are easy, clear, quick and most of all work. Sunday roasts are now replaced by tasty meze's, dips, salads and garlic flatbreads (that my 13 old son adores). A great way to get healthy food into teenagers. This book promises to be well stained and used.

Can we have more like this Hugh?

3.0 out of 5 stars Buyer beware this product is NARROW fit, 3 Mar 2010
I already have a pair of the Saucony omni 7 running shoes and wanted another pair. I ordered this - no-where on the order screen did it state that they were narrow. I did not notice this until the shoes were on their way to me. I will now have to return them (probably at my own expense) as they do not fit :-(

4.0 out of 5 stars Informative and accurate, 19 Dec 2009
As a podiatry student I am always looking for new ways to learn and this chart is ideal. It covers more detailed anatomy than many charts and includes some injuries as well. Ideal for reading on the back of the dining room door whilst eating breakfast!!

Textbook of Orthopaedics
Textbook of Orthopaedics
by John Ebnezar
Edition: Paperback
Price: £24.99

2.0 out of 5 stars Very dry and relevant to Indian continent more than UK, plus mussing pages, 6 Dec 2009
I bought this textbook and think it is very dry. Much of it is written in list format and the illustrations and text in particular are relevant to the Indian market rather than the UK such as the "Indian Toilet System" of how injuries occur to the ankle! Or the illustration of an Indian Policeman about to beat a person with a lathi (baton)!

In addition I have just found that there are a number of pages missing which have been replaced with pages previously printed in the book.

I'm sure there are better books than this so my advice is find another one and don't bother with this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Setting Limits with Your Strong willed Child, 28 July 2003
This book is absolutely excellent. It has numerous examples on how to diffuse situations and cope with your child. It helps you to recognise how your interactions don't help the situations and how to change your usual behaviour to get a different outcome. It covers all the most difficult situations, in the supermarket, in the car at other peoples houses or in restaurants.
If you're at your wits end how to cope - the BUY THIS BOOK!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Paradize by Indochine, 5 Nov 2002
This review is from: Paradize (Audio CD)
Bought on holiday in France and really excellent - like a cross between heavy and punk with some 80's hints thrown in. If you like "interesting" music then this is for you.
