4.0 out of 5 stars Really good but not as tense as I expected, 23 Feb 2014
To be fair this is the first Mo Hayder book I've read. I did find it I couldn't put it down some very good twists and turns but didn't find it as tense and 'oh my god' as I thought it would be. However I will definitely be reading more of Mo's books as I did enjoy her writing style

I really didn't think I would get in this book like I did but it's well written, atmospheric and you like the characters. Tiny disappointed with the ending but maybe it's because I was enjoying it. Will definitely read more by this author

I was a bit disappointed if I'm honest. I expected real edge of your seat thriller with twists and turns. That said I would read another book from the same author as it was well written but you know who the killer is from the start

This book is by far one of the best I have read, it was gripping and I actually really cared about the main character and what happens to her. I cannot recommend this highly enough. Right, I'm off to download another Elizabeth Haynes book. Fantastic

Life After Life
Life After Life
by Kate Atkinson
Edition: Hardcover
Price: 9.49

5.0 out of 5 stars Confused at first but totally worth it, 25 April 2013
This review is from: Life After Life (Hardcover)
I was really lost at the start and couldn't really understand it, (this is the first Kate Atkinson, I've read) But am so pleased I stuck with it, I really enjoyed the characters (my last names Todd too) I wanted to punch Maurice's face in no matter how many times it was re-lived! What a wonderful story, atmospheric and descriptive. brillant
