FiiO E1 Headphone Amplifier - Black
FiiO E1 Headphone Amplifier - Black

5.0 out of 5 stars THIS SAVED MY ONE EAR IPOD!, 2 May 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I bought this headphone amplifier as the headphone jack on my ipod was only allowing sound through one channel. It connects to the bottom of the ipod rather than through the headphone jack. It does the job perfectly, plus gives me a lot more volume if I want it, eg if walking along a road with noisy traffic. The only downside is I've now got rather a lot of long leads dangling about my person, but I guess I can effectively shorten them with one of those little twisty wires.I have saved myself a lot of money it would have cost to replace the ipod, and would recommend the product to anybody. Good value, good quality...

5.0 out of 5 stars Lovely, Leonard!, 31 Oct 2011
This song book of Leonard Cohen songs is superb.
To get 70 of his greatest songs all in one volume at such a reasonable price is remarkable.
Only quibble is when I found that one of my recent favourites "Anthem" has only the first verse shown: there are three more wonderful verses omitted!
Otherwise, whole-heartedly recommended, for both old and new would-be Cohen crooners and croakers...

A Friend Like Henry
A Friend Like Henry
by Nuala Gardner
Edition: Paperback
Price: £7.99

5.0 out of 5 stars A Heart Warmer, 4 Feb 2010
This review is from: A Friend Like Henry (Paperback)
"A FRIEND LIKE HENRY" is a remarkable and true story of one family's struggle.
It describes the parents coming to terms with their son's autism, the battle with professionals for a diagnosis and more importantly some real support to help them survive under incredible pressure. The breakthrough is occasioned by getting a golden retriever (Henry), and the creative and imaginative way they use Henry to help their son is humorous, delightful and inspiring.
I read the story aloud to my partner, and frequently struggled to read because I was choking with emotion!
It is heart warming because of the parents' refusal to give up,battling insuperable odds to give their child the life he deserves. The progress he makes is nothing less than staggering...
I recommend it to anyone.
