The biography of Nigel Goodwin was really inspiring. It's just amazing to see how God was able to use him for his glory and to enable artists of all walks of life to get to know Christ and let him influence their whole life so that in turn they could be his witnesses
to those around them.

This is an excellent edition with detailed notes giving interesting information. The quaint old illustrations give a particular character to the novel. I have always enjoyed reading Dickens' "Tale of Two Cities".I used to read it with
my middle school students in a French edition. The story which takes place during the French Revolution in London and Paris is well documented, but it sheds a different lighting on the Revolution itself, highlighting the atrocities of the times. All the characters come out so clearly and specifically. The main characters lead Christlike lives, in spite of their weaknesses. The main theme and the conclusion of the novel comes through in striking contrast to the spirit of the Revolution : "Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends." (John 15 : 13) Dickens' style is so rich, so full of images, a real pleasure to read.

I have Known all of Joni Eareckson's devotions for a long time. Diamonds in the Dust are the best. Her devotions are really profound, inspired and inspiring.
Joni knows what suffering is all about and she is inhabited by Christ, by his Spirit and by His Holy Word. Her devotions speak to our hearts and are an inspiration to our daily walk. They really bring us comfort when we need it and enable us to keep our eyes on Christ our Lord and Saviour. Highly recommended. Liliane Aubert
