2.0 out of 5 stars Poor quality control., 25 Jan. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Poor, poor quality control. Scratches on the board, the taller pieces didn't stand up straight, and the detailing on the pieces is wonky. The plastic moulds inside aren't even glued in and are too shallow for the box, so they don't actually hold the pieces in and are useless. When opened out the two halves of the board don't actually sit flat with each other. The pieces weren't sanded down in places so pick up fluff from the moulds inside. The whole thing looks like it was made by a C grade GCSE woodwork student. Will be returning ASAP.

Love this album, never skip a track - the hallmark of a great album! My favourite is Come Back - a great funk track with some amazing guitar work.

One of my favourite albums - I never skip a track, they're all brilliant. Personal favourite is Take It Back, can't stop playing it at the moment. Also functions well for improving the performance of your car - if you put this on, you will drive faster!

Bad Pharma: How Medicine is Broken, and How We Can Fix It
Bad Pharma: How Medicine is Broken, and How We Can Fix It

4.0 out of 5 stars ANGER! ANGER EVERYWHERE!, 6 July 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Very good and accessible to all levels of knowledge, but you need to concentrate! There are some complicated passages. Also - it will make you extremely angry! You will feel like you want to become the Batman to the drug market's Gotham City, with the pharmaceutical industries playing the part of the Joker etc. and bringing corruption to what should be a simple place. However, instead of throwing sharp bits of metal around, driving recklessly, and being generally moody, you may want to consider asking your doctor about research, or perhaps writing to your MP and bringing up the shocking subjects in this book. I think this is where my analogy wears a bit thin. I'M BATMAN.

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed., 6 July 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Not worth the money. Although it is big, it has the most boring colours underneath the continents - it doesn't exactly brighten up a wall. Also, because the paper is black, if you even slightly go outside of the lines, the scratch marks really show up and look untidy. And the entire of North America is for some reason the same colour as the scratch off paint - so whenever anyone sees my poster they go "wait, I thought you'd been to America?" and I say "I have - it's just the same colour underneath!".

2.0 out of 5 stars Too much effort into graphics, 29 Jun. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Grid 2 (PC CD) (CD-ROM)
Ok, so by now you will have heard about the graphics. They are, in a word, stunning. The cars look exactly as they do in real life even on a low graphics setting, but if you put this up to high you can even see the spectator's nose hairs (this may be an exaggeration). However, it seems that Codemasters thought that some hi-tech equivalent of "Look at the shiny shiny" might distract us from the game itself. Which is TERRIBLE. Among my many gripes are the cars handling mechanics. EVERY car drifts. Even the ones that are set up for "grip". The KTM X-Bow, a car designed to stick to the road like glue, will easily drift around a corner and into the crash barriers. It feels like you're driving on ice with every car. In the beginning of the career mode, this isn't too much of a problem, partly because the cheaper cars (mustang, camaro, challenger etc) tend to be drifty in real life anyway, and partly because the cars are so slow you can correct the drift before the redwood in front of you sends you to your maker. However, when you get to Tier 3 (Corvette, MP412C, Alfa 8C) the speed means you have about 0.5 seconds between losing the back end and instant death. This happens on EVERY corner. Which brings me to my next gripe.

Whatever codemasters were smoking when they though of the idea of a McLaren MP4-12C doing 150mph for 3.5 minutes on a country lane without crashing should be classed along with bath salts. The tracks you are required to race on in the high-end (tier 3 and above) cars are COMPLETELY unsuitable for the cars. I'm talking about the Japanese, Hong Kong and California country roads mainly. There is no room to overtake, every corner is completely blind due to the map being next to useless at such speed, and if you hold the accelerator for longer than, ooo, 3 seconds you are guaranteed to go over a cliff or hit a tree. This wouldn't be so bad if the game had a variety of tracks, but it doesn't. Every other race seems to be on one of these stupid lanes, where no idiot in their right mind would go racing, much less with 11 opponents sharing the same track.
Additionally, there is no cash system, the commentary is annoying, and, for the love of God codemasters, STOP STARTING ME IN 10th WHEN I WON THE LAST FRIGGIN RACE!!! Any race series in the world would start the winner of the last race at the start, otherwise he has to over 9 opponents in 2 laps, and is virtually guaranteed to turn one of them into Iron Giant food.

This game annoys me so much. If you're still in awe of it because of the graphics, do yourself a favour and just screenshot it and set it as your wallpaper. That way you can look at the pretty pictures without having to bother about tearing your own hair out at the stupidity of the tracks and handling.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, but - don't pay the full price!, 1 Aug. 2012

Bought these shoes in the sale at £17.73 and added a discount code at checkout for an extra 10% off, about 15 quid overall. For the price I got them at, these shoes are really good - great styling, reasonably well made, and sizing is spot on. However, all these things are relative to the price I got them at - if I had bought them for the full price of £35, I would have felt extremely ripped off, the fabric is too thin and the soles not substantial enough to warrant £35 - but hey penguin prices are always a source of comedy for anyone with more sense than money.

Jack & Jones Vertu Trainers - Dark blue - Mens

5.0 out of 5 stars Great service, great product, 15 April 2012
Bought these shoes as needed some footwear somewhere between formal and trainers, they do the job brilliantly. Also, they look COOL. The soles are blue, which you can't see in the photo, and the inner soles are orange. They are also very well made, a few days after I got them, due to unforeseen circumstances, I was forced to walk a public footpath for about 2 miles in them (mud, puddles, stiles etc) and they stayed together just fine. One tiny drawback with them, they are slightly narrower than other shoes of the same size would be so if you have wider feet look elsewhere. I bought them in a twelve and it's tight squeeze even though my feet aren't wide. However, a small price to pay for some very well made, good value and good looking footwear. Also, excellent service from Republic (the distributor) - they said 3-5 days, they were here in 2!

Latest offering from sweet virginia is 50 minutes of proper old school, hardcore, garage-bred, tape-recorded ROCK!! No acoustic stuff, just 3 electric guitars and a bass, Godlike Genius growling at the top of his range and Taylor Hawkins beating the living daylights out of a kit.
This album is the best album foo fighters have ever released. It is one of the few cds I can listen to without skipping tracks - personal favourites are Rosemary, These Days and Walk, but in my opinion all these tracks are among the best Dave Grohl has ever written. And a bargain at £[]!
