Every vegetarian should own this book, 20 Feb 2012
I was raised vegetarian and spent most of my childhood eating Rose Elliot's recipes from earlier editions of this book. When I became an adult I decided to focus on recipes of other chefs and for years I overlook Rose Elliot. However, recently I was given Rose Elliot's New Complete Vegetarian and I've found I'm using it almost everyday!
Unlike other veggie recipes books she isn't overly reliant on cheese based dishes or ingredients that aren't normally available at your local supermarket. Her recipes are easy to follow and really tasty. There are also recipes for pretty much any vegetable, pulse or nut you may want to cook with. In addition, the book is strongly influenced by her understanding of healthy/balanced vegetarian diets, and I really feel that living on her recipes has helped me to be a healthier person.
