Grave Secret (Secret McQueen Book 5)
Grave Secret (Secret McQueen Book 5)
Price: £2.47

5.0 out of 5 stars Another excellent instalment, 25 Mar 2013
The Secret McQueen books continue on in great form with this next instalment in the series. This time hell has no fury like a woman scorned, no matter what her species.

New characters and further plot twists abound and there is an ending that leaves you desperate for the next instalment.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good quality and service, 23 Jun 2012

Though this product had fewer reviews we decided to choose this model and have been very happy with both the supplier and the product.

The Doppler was delivered 24 hours after ordering and had been well packaged so their was no damage at all. It came with all he necessary supplies (batteries and the conducting gel) and was very easy to set up. The manual does not contain operating instructions but it is pretty slf explanatory and there are plenty of videos that show you how to use these items.

The quality of the sound is good (clear and background noise is kept to a minimum). The product feels robust and you are not worried about it breaking when you use it

I would definitely recommend this product if you are looking for a little reassurance between your appointments that everything is on track

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent choice for background, 22 Feb 2012

Another excellent novella that this time gives the reader background to Curran, enigmatic leader of the pack. This is a style of filling in the background that I really like. It means that you qacn choose to understand a little more about a character or not, but either way you know that if you don't buy this you will not miss out on anything and can still enjoy the series

3.0 out of 5 stars Not the best of the Mqueen books, 22 Feb 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is by far my least favourite of the Secret Mqueen books. It has a lot of our favourite characters in it but for me it just did not flow. Now you do need to accept that this is a 0.5 book which basically makes it a novella. You can expect progression in some of the characters relationships (specifically between Secret and her follow vamps) but the action is a bit light for me

I am all for character pieces, but this just felt like it could have been included in a main book Pugh I will concede that having the novellas means that you will not have to wait so long for the next installment, which has to be a good thing if, like me you are an impatient reader

If you are a die hard who just has to complete the series, or if you need your Secret fix then go for it, but don't feel that yah ethane it to enable to read the series

4.0 out of 5 stars Interesting first book, 22 Feb 2012

This review is from: Dead on the Delta (Kindle Edition)
I bought this book on spec when it showed up in the ~ other people bought this section.

This can always be a bit hit and miss but in this case I was very impressed bothered was good characterisation and e world that the author has created interesting and takes a bit of a different view on post apocalyptic worlds.

While the book has a strong female lead she, unlike many female leads is not necessarily someone you would like. Whole you have sympathy for plight you also have to wonder wheth you actually like her.

There are some interesting twists and turns in this book and I am looking forward to the next in the series - where hopefully we will see the world and it's characters evolve

3.0 out of 5 stars Trashy but fun, 22 Feb 2012

This review is from: G.I. Jane [DVD] (DVD)
This DVD is exactly what you would expect. The film does not really get any better with age, the script is ropey and as much as the cinematography is simple it does work.

The film however does not have any pretentions about what it is - it is unabashedly trashy and you can see old Viggo reading poetry In a stoic yet meaningful manner and laugh your behind off.

It's fun - do not buy it because you think it will give you an accurate view of the military, or for the fight scenes. Choose th film because you just want to switch your brain off and watch the telly

This is the third Black Stone Cherry album and it builds on the first 2 albums. The tone is much the same I terms of e blend of rock tracks v's ballads and I challenge you to not tap your feet to blame it on the boom boom, or, Indeed the title track white trash millionaire

That being said -perhaps it is a little bit too samey in places. Here are a couple of sections where I struggled to work out whether or not we had changed track. While I accept that a band has a sound , there does need to be some variety.

All that being said I would still recommend the album if you like a bit of southern rock

4.0 out of 5 stars Hard going but worth it, 12 Oct 2010

I bought this to supplement a palaeontology course that I was taking after a recommendation from a friend;. If you want to know a more about the unique conditions of Burgess Shale and how this has changed our knowledge and understanding of how life developed and evolved then this is th ebook for you, but you need to be prepared to work at it

everything you want to know can be found in this book, along with illustrations but it had work. This book is written by scientists and it can be a little on the dry side, but if you can get passed that then you will find something you can really enjoy

3.0 out of 5 stars Novel Idea: not sure I would use it again, 12 Oct 2010
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
As a confirmed stationery addict I was interested in anything that claimed to have a different approach. The hite (rather than grey or black lines) on a grey background works pretty well when you are working in bright/well lit situations.

If you are dealing with low/poor light then this is not the book for you. The lines become almost impossible to see and you need to make your best guess as to how to progress.

I ended up using mine in an evening course and as soon as the light is lowered so that presentations can be given I find I cannot see the line markings - which in the end means that l end up having to write up my notes again later.

While the white line approach is novel - I am not sure that I would go to the extra cos for this again
