4.0 out of 5 stars Great figure., 27 Oct 2014

Figure looks better in the flesh (so to speak) and has great articulation. Like the Darth Maul figure (and unlike most of the other figures) you can get this into some incredible poses.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not worth a penny more than 20 quid., 23 Aug 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
None of these figures are worth more than 20.00. I bought my stormtrooper from amazon a couple of days ago when it was 18.00. Now its ovet 21.00 and rising. These are nice figures but smaller than NECA and certainly not worth the ridiculous prices everyone is trying to charge. Hold your nerve people. Dont give in to the scalpers, amazon included!

5.0 out of 5 stars A very entertaining read for film nerds, 20 May 2014
I bought this book on a Thursday lunch time (from Poundland no less) and finished it by the Sunday morning. For me this is probably the quickest I've ever read a book! It was funny, informative and very entertaining throughout. I know of Mark Kermode, but I've never been a huge follower of his...until now! Whilst I don't necessarily share his exact film tastes (e.g. his intense love of Silent Running) I did find myself nodding in agreement with almost all of what he had to say about cinema in general, and better still laughed out loud at most of it too. His views on Sex in the City 2 being a particular highlight. Also, he must be one the few film critics who actually belittles the influence of film critics. Anyone who LOVES films, not likes films, but LOVES films will thoroughly enjoy this.

4.0 out of 5 stars Amongst Adkins best, 19 May 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I didn't really like the original Scott Adkins Ninja film that much, but on the stength of his two Undisputed films I gave this one a go. This is a VAST improvement on the first film (which you really don't need to have seen). Scott's acting has improved somewhat and his fight skills continue to amaze. I would put this film on a par with Undisputed 2 & 3 and better than pretty much anything else I've seen him in (The Shepherd, El Gringo, Green Street 3, the Universal Soldier one he did, etc). The plot is straight forward revenge, with a few twists thrown in. More importantly the action happens often and increases in quality as it goes along. The film has the usual cheesiness that you come to expect (and even like) from these sorts of films (especially as a life long Van Damme fan), but I think Scott can, and hopefully will, do even better in the future. But this is still a very solid martial arts film worthy of a purchase any many repeat viewings. If you watch a lot of martial arts films you'll of seen many a triple kick, but Scott does a kind of spinning triple kick that I had to rewind about 3 times it was so good. It just falls short of the likes of Ip Man, The Raid and the original Ong Bak, but not by much. Scott has such a friendly face/demeanor that I can't but help think that he needs to stick to his formidable Uri Boyka character if he's going to make somthing truly awesome.

1.0 out of 5 stars A bit steep at £114.00, 21 Oct 2013
= Durability:1.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:1.0 out of 5 stars
Whilst I enjoyed looking at eight 3D pictures from Disney's Tangled, I found the £114.00 pricetag a little bit too expensive. And to think I could've bought a Kindle Fire :-(

2.0 out of 5 stars Oh dear, 21 Dec 2012
This review is from: Ted: Extended Edition [DVD] (DVD)
Funny? No. Shocking? No. Anyone who has seen and enjoyed Family Guy will find this rather tame in comparison. Its a watchable piece of mediority if you've nothing better to do. Not worth buying unless you're a 13 year old boy and have never seen other, better comedies. The only laughs I got out of it came from Flash Gordon and the bit between the end of the film and the end credits where Brandon Routh gets a proverbial kicking. What a let down. I got more laughs out of Dredd!

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than 90% of the other films released this year, 10 Dec 2012
This review is from: The Cabin In The Woods [DVD] (DVD)
I enjoyed this film a great deal. Especially the final portion. It starts off like a normal horror, but right from the start you know that there is more going on than meets the eye. I found this film to be entertaining and hilariously funny in a dark way, and full of genuine surprises. If you want a generic teen horror film you may not like this. If however you have an open mind and like HP Lovecraft tales, the Twilight Zone and the more off the wall elements of horror/scifi, you will LOVE this. Some reviewer's compaints of not understanding what is going on are commenting more on their own mental deficiencies rather than the film itself! The most refreshing film of the year. Fewer remakes, reimaginings, and 3D tripe, and more of this please. This will sit nicely on my DVD shelf along gthe year's other greats such as The Raid.
