2.0 out of 5 stars Effective but the noise..., 17 Jan. 2014
I got a new one of these last year. The model was installed in my new apartment when I moved in. So when it started to be too noisy I decided to change it for a new one. But the new one is just as noisy. It is really really noisy!

3.0 out of 5 stars Pockets NOT water proof, 21 May 2013
Great heavy duty jacket. But don't put your phone in the pockets if it is raining! With empty pockets the jacket is ready for all sorts of weather.

2.0 out of 5 stars Don't let the GoreTex fool you..., 10 Mar. 2013
Very comfy. But beware that this is a very very delicate shoe. They change color within the first weeks and suddenly looks like they have been worn for ages. I have tried 4 diff types of shoe moisterizer now. And still they look that way.

So: don't use them in rain or snowy weather, if you like the color.

Ocean Life [DVD] [Region 1] [US Import] [NTSC]
Ocean Life [DVD] [Region 1] [US Import] [NTSC]

1.0 out of 5 stars Shot in the 1970s, 4 Jun. 2011
The only quality to this dvd box set is of the historical kind. Picture quality, speak, soundtrack, no to mention animal understanding is from a different time.

If you prefer amateur-like underwater filming, which you could have done easily yourself in the same quality and you love to see divers wrestling with turtles and breaking of coral, this is it!

According to discussions elsewhere on the web this is not Stoneman's fault. Apparently he did not wanted this box set on the marked. I can see why...

5.0 out of 5 stars Up there with film!, 7 April 2011
Like the film, this book is amazing. Great photos, knowledgable txt. One of the best books on the beautiful world down there. And with every "scene" there is data on date, weather, gps-location, dive time, depth, etc. In case you want to go see for your self. Well done!

1.0 out of 5 stars Amateur hour..., 25 Feb. 2011
Uh, this is bad! 3 reasons:

1. Picture quality is not good. "Shot in glorious High Definition" is a lie.
2. Music is annoying and really loud - actually not only a bad thing because in places it drowns out
3. The voiceover. Probably a machine translation of a the original Japanese speak.

If you are a fan of ie. BBC's Blue Planet, you are in for a surprise. How did this guy get to make this?

1.0 out of 5 stars Blisters, blisters, blisters, 11 Oct. 2010
I was a very happy Adistar Control 5 owner. So when this upgraded model was out, I bought a pair.
Unfortunately these shoes are so badly designed. They are really hard to get to fit your foot - no matter how you tie them. And I have never had so many blisters before. My arches are a bloody mess on both feet now. So no running for a few weeks. Back to the drawing board, Adidas!

1.0 out of 5 stars Very poor quality..., 25 May 2010
This book was made in a few days. That is the only way to explain:

1. Half the photos are out of focus
Look at page 3, p.5, p.17, p.47, p.51, p.67, etc.

2. The text is unedited and full of errors.
A headline reads: "Hervey Bay is located in south-eastern Queensland, particularly between May and August" (p.168)

3. The information quality about the dive sites is really poor.
I have been to many of the sites in the book. So I know that Similan in Thailand is only open half of the year. You might want to put that in a dive guide. And how can the water in Lofoten have "good visibility" and "dark and menacing with low visibility" at the same time (p.178)

There are plenty of much better alternatives to this book on the market!

5.0 out of 5 stars Well done, Leo, 7 Mar. 2010
This review is from: The 11th Hour [DVD] (DVD)
It is true, that much of what is put forward in The 11th hour is already out there. But it is still very much worth seeing. Especially the last part of the movie, where the focus is on, what can be done to save the planet (and us). It was very uplifting to hear all these smart and enthusiastic people looking forward to getting to work on the issue. One of the scientist in the movie said he actually feels lucky to get to work on such an exciting challenge. That is a refreshingly new perspective on the whole thing. Wish him and the others all the best in their endavours! And well done, Leo :-)

5.0 out of 5 stars A well made docu-thriller, 7 Mar. 2010
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: The Cove [DVD] [2009] (DVD)
The day I saw The Cove on dvd, the movie opened in a cinema here in Copenhagen. And I went to see it again. This is a documentary, but it has all the qualities of a normal cinema-thriller. And on top of that, it is - like The End of The Line - a really important message to get out there! Nobody eats whales or dolphins so why keep killing them?
