Very good screen, very good connectivity, 18 May 2013
This screen is lovely - bright, clear, and oh so wide. Does the neat trick of using PIP to allow two inputs displayed side by side so the computer thinks it has two separate displays - good where you want to maximise to a decent size but still not use all that wonderful screen. RDP for example - important for directing control and windows keys at the remote connection and not your computer. I could ramble on, but though the price might seem steep, it is so much better and more useful than a standard HD screen.

ADF - great!, 2 Mar 2013
I watched the BBC Horizon documentary by Mosley. Thought and played with the idea of fasting for weight loss rather than its main aim of increased longevity. And started seriously on ADF from early September. Weight lost? Only a guess - weighed myself after xmas but previous weighing was years ago. But trouser waist size, 42in in August, 34in in December, and comfortable 32in by mid Jan. I don't really want to lose any more as it gets difficult finding 30in and smaller clothing for a male! At the same time I joined a gym - adds a little to the fat loss, but mainly gets tone and fitness while losing the fat. This book might help. But to be honest, the guidelines for ADF need to be stretched to fill two sentences! It's up to you how well you eat on that 600 cal fasting day. Mosley's idea of lots of green leafy veg is good - but don't assume spinach is calorie free! And I think ADF, while seemingly stricter than 5:2, is really easier to follow - day on, day off. Becomes automatic, no quibble about shifting a fasting day because you don't feel like it. The discipline is automatic rather than rational. Don't be a monster - if it really is bad to fast on one day (me - xmas day!), then relent and take that day easy and join in. But most of the time it is surprisingly easy to follow. And works very well indeed

Good moisturiser, 12 Dec 2012
Non-greasy, smells fine. Does what you'd hope for. So why 4 star not 5? The tube - those corners are sharp! Maybe I'm too soft to start with, but there's a new laceration on the fingers every couple of days! Take (doubly) care.

A most excellent novel, 29 April 2012
I've read Liss's series (and prequel!) about Ben Weaver. And very enjoyable they were - I look forward to any future Weaver books. But Whiskey Rebels is another step up - helped maybe by being at least for the time being a self contained novel. But it is a rich meal - the two strands, off-putting in the first few pages when you are wondering even if they are connected, but really gripping all the way through. Only criticism is towards (I believe) Random House who have their own odd reasons for not publishing this and other novels for the kindle.

Good to see shorter pieces, 7 Mar 2012
Good 'book'. My only complaint is that as it's a Kindle Single - monographs rather than complete books - why does it cost so much in the UK? Surely something like 99p plus VAT would be more encouraging? (And it would also be good to see Kindle Singles promoted over here).

Terrific, 31 Mar 2011
Good quality, ethernet connection and duplex for a decent price. Didn't have any problem installing it - the PC discovered it over the network. And another PC connected directly to usb2 was no problem either. I suspect any problem might be more of a dhcp issue than a printer problem. The printer isn't silent in use, but if when it's not been used for a few minutes it drops into sleep so no continual 'noise'. Well pleased. Recommended.

Fun and educational, 30 Dec 2010
Don't take 'fun and educational' as meaning this DVD set is a little too twee. Industrial Revelations and the sequel, More Reve..etc..., are terrific. Mark Williams style isn't preachy like a robed lecturer might deliver, but it is certainly not 'dumbed down'. The facts, and probably more importantly, ideas and motives, about the Industrial Revolution in Britain come thick and fast - with a good helping of quips and jokes that anyone familiar with Williams work on the Fast Show etc etc will appreciate. You see most things that still exist - engines, locos, bridges and so on - being operated, and Williams goes through rapid but clear explanations of how they work and why they were clever and important innovations. You do learn, but without the chore. Now I'm preaching. Half watched a couple of episodes on Quest, ordered the DVDs, arrived the next morning. So, all good.

Great disc. Slow delivery, 1 Sep 2010
At least Amazon kept with it and eventually sourced and delivered it. Might have been better with an alternative supplier for a Dutton Digital disc. 5 star product though.

A good TV play ..., 14 Jun 2010
I've seen this on TV, I don't own the DVD. I rate it as a nice piece of original film making and suitable as an episode in (for example) a series of films based around street London. Maybe a set of Shane Meadows films. The film has an annoying yet cute soundtrack. All worthwhile, but not quite worth a trip to the cinema and marginal as an individual DVD.

Forget the tea bags, 4 April 2010
Love this. Used one at work for a month. Not too messy when you get in a routine. And far better tea is available than you'll find in tea bags. So much so that I've just ordered another for home - that first or last cup of the day when making a pot seems too much.
