3.0 out of 5 stars Impossible to take a bad pic of our Cheryl, 23 Feb. 2015
Impossible to take a bad pic of our Cheryl...but sadly, this was obviously done in a bit of a rush and is a series of studio photos....rather than the superbly exotic photos we saw in her 2014 calendar....,maybe she didn't have the time to travel to hotter climes for beach photos....or maybe her management just thought 'If it's Cheryl.....it'll sell anyway....'.
Let's hope for a more imaginative one for 2016......take a photographer on your hols for a few days, Cheryl...you're worth it !

4.0 out of 5 stars DATES WITH THE SIMPSONS, 14 Oct. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Great value for those who ant to know what day it is at a glance, and test their knowledge of the classic series.... the questions are REALLY for the ardent fans....although I got a few....but at the price - for a year of wondering if its the 15th of 16th - it's a bargain.

4.0 out of 5 stars Red Rug Review, 14 Oct. 2014

This review is from: Mediterranean Red Recycled Rag Rug
Lovely little rug...pink-ish rather than red, as others have suggested....TAD smaller than I'd thought, but good value.

3.0 out of 5 stars CHERYL HITS DISAPPOINTING NOTE..., 14 Oct. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Cheryl looks as stunning as ever in this 2015 collection of poses...but have to say that it's lacking the originality and sassiness of 2014.....no exotic looking locations - mostly studio stuff - and the poses aren't as 'sultry' as before. Shame. You can never do a 'bad' photo session with her....but it looks like it was photographed in a bit of a hurry. Worthy of any wall....but not a patch on this year's 'model'.

3.0 out of 5 stars No More TAABs...please..., 30 Aug. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Sorry....but this is incredibly disappointing...always LOVED Tull and have bought their stuff since their FIRST album 'Stand Up'...and have seen them several times. This however is a step too far for Anderson....he is a great showman, but stretches the limits of this mini opera - or whatever you want to call it - to breaking point., The first part of TAAB sounds as good as ever....but the rest sounds like a band going in search of a riff, or a memorable chorus or anything ressembling a song!. A young lad onstage with the band speaks dialogue at times, and sings, I assume, to reach the notes Anderson no longer can....or maybe, to be fair, to change the texture of the lyrics....but it really doesn't work.. The TAAB2 meanders on and on and on....with some OK bits...and some fill in solos....(why Anderson talks about prostate cancer just before the start of '2' is anyone's guess)...and the lyrics are often baffling -'Fray Bentos pie...always a winner' (???) - think we've heard enough of Gerald Bostock...he should get a life !!! Hey, I'm a big Tull fan.....but this is Ian Anderson 'let loose'! Sorry...but you have to call it as you see - and hear - it.

3.0 out of 5 stars PROMISES A LOT....DELIVERS LESS...., 2 July 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I was so looking forward to this.....wow....I thought...a Million Dollar piano...THIS is going to be stunning. In fact....sad to report....it's more or less an 'ordinary' Elton John concert. Yes..the piano flashes a few lights....and with some nice patterns, but what you expect...is what you get. Great sound...but....the SAME songs EJ has been playing on every DVD I have seen.....'I'm Still Standing'....'Crocodile Rock'...'Bennie and the Jets'..the overplayed (for me) 'Philadelphia Freedom'......you get the idea. The only welcome addition is two rarely played songs, 'Better Off Dead' and 'Indian Sunset'. Otherwise,, it's the same old same old. Yep, 'Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting' and 'Circle of Life' end the show....with the inevitable 'Your Song' sandwiched in the middle. No 'Someone Saved My Life Tonight'...'Burn Down the Mission', 'Captain Fantastic', or many of the dozens of other songs he could have included in this pretty 'obvious' collection. Yes, he sounds as enthusiastic as ever and the band are as tight as always with the marvellous Ray Cooper on percussion....but I don't think straying from 'safety' is Elton's bag these days......there are even TWO versions of 'Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me'...(one, cheekily billed as a 'bonus track') No 'Nikita', 'Take me to the Pilot'...or 'Roy Rogers' (amazingly, not even 'Daniel') Maybe he varied the set every night after playing Vegas for SO long...but if so, you'dve thought this collection would have included a FEW more lesser-known classics rather than the ones we ALWAYS hear. It's OK....but don't expect any surprises. And only TWO stars for the 'Million Dollar' (really?!) piano.

4.0 out of 5 stars Uneven....but some classics !, 9 April 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Since when did Bob Dylan do anything to 'perfection'? This VERY good value DVD gives a fine example of the man performing live at concerts at festivals, concerts, and TV shows over some of his best - and not so best - years. From the classics, there are indeed some vintage performances on here... as well as some....well ...let's say, less 'effective' numbers... But just as when you see him in concert, the 'good' outweighs the 'average' and for the price, this is an absolute 'must' for fans of Mr Z. There will NEVER be a 'perfect' DVD of him, just like I doubt anyone has ever seen a 'perfect' show of his......but what the hell....that's part of the man himself, and his unpredictability....so buy it and appreciate the songs you love...and fast-forward those you don't. There's unlikely to ever be another release like this....so enjoy the genius of the man, with this modestly priced gem.... BTW..it IS professionally filmed...NOT with hand held cameras....so the picture quality is fine. NOT 'great'....(no HD here...) but it's 'OK' !
