3.0 out of 5 stars OK for price, but needs spare trays., 13 Mar. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is not bad for the price, compared with other scanners, but I agree with comments made by other reviewers. It is not easy to view on a desktop, and works better as a hand-held. The instructions are not clear. The USB lead comes with a 3-pin plug adapter, but the cable is very short.

My main gripe about it is that the slide and negative trays are quite brittle plastic and I don't think they will last long in use. I only bought this product because the description says quite clearly that spare trays are available, but this does not appear to be the case - unless anybody else has found them? It would also make loading slides much quicker.

5.0 out of 5 stars It is a comfortable band, grips well but not too tight, 30 Aug. 2014

This review is from: Black Velvet Alice Band IN8653
Having a senior moment, I accidentally left this review under the seller feedback, so here it is again in the right place!
Unlike some other bands on Amazon, this fits an adult head. It is a comfortable band, grips well but not too tight. The velvet is very low pile, so the band is suitable for day or evening wear. Having only just received it, I cannot comment on how well it will wear, but it appears to be of a similar quality to more expensive bands I have bought in the past. It arrived very quickly."

1.0 out of 5 stars Nasty, not as described, 31 July 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I am annoyed at having to give these even one star! Amazon should investigate this as the product supplied is not as described. These grips are thin, sharp, have no comfort ends as depicted in the picture. They would be impossible to use without scratching your scalp.

3.0 out of 5 stars No margins!, 18 Mar. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I have only just started reading the book, so my rating is not for the content. Be warned if you buy this paperback that it has very narrow margins indeed - worst I've ever encountered!. This makes it uncomfortable to read, as well as leaving no space to scrawl pencil notes if you are using the book for study. The print disappears into the spine of the book, so that opening the book out enough to read risks damaging the spine.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not suitable for left-handed use, 22 Jan. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The written product details and the video state that the iron rest can be adjusted for left-handed or right-handed use. This is not true of the board I have received. The metal bar that can be raised to support the iron fits into two slots either side of the rest to hold it fixed in the upright position. There are slots on both sides, to allow for adjusting it between left-handed and right-handed use. However, the bar itself is bent, so that it will not reach far enough to go into the left-handed position. Even if it did, it would be lower than in the right-handed position. Without the bar, the rest is too shallow to be safe for use with our big steam iron - it can easily slide off.

If my husband hadn't already taken the packaging to the tip, I'd be returning it. As it is, I shall now have the added expense of buying a separate iron rest! I'm not pleased.

5.0 out of 5 stars Kindle edition needs corrections, 12 Jan. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
My five stars are for the book, not the edition, which needs correcting. There are many missing words and letters, and some wrong letters - e.g. 'a' for 'c' in this transfer.

Costs more than the paperback, but has no Table of Contents, illustrations are missing, and lots of the links don't work!

3.0 out of 5 stars Some features not available for Mac OS, 10 Jan. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Scans well, scans quickly to email, photo-editing OK, though I have other, better programs which I prefer to use. But it does not seem to scan to cloud, and the copy utility does not work at all. There is nothing in the product description that says it does not work with Mac OS, but I found a small print note on an epson website which says that not all features will be available with Mac OS. We'll keep it, because it is not a bad scanner for the price, but it certainly isn't the all-in-one solution as described.

2.0 out of 5 stars Very basic phrasebook, 1 May 2012

This is very basic compared to some other phrasebooks that are available as paperbacks. I hope to see something better available for Kindle soon.

Heraklion, Crete (Greece) Travel Guide - What To See & Do In 2012
Heraklion, Crete (Greece) Travel Guide - What To See & Do In 2012

1.0 out of 5 stars Waste of money, 1 May 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is not, as billed, a guide to what to see and do in Heraklion in 2012. It is a very basic guide, with information that is freely available elsewhere. There is nothing specifically about 2012. I am very annoyed at not being able to return this, because I was on holiday when the 7-day return period expired.
