5.0 out of 5 stars Better than Sonic., 8 Dec. 2011
I bought this toothbrush to replace SonicCare ones, as they usually stopped working after a year or so. The Braun Oral-B has a choice of brush heads and a gadget to tell you how long you've been brushing for. Had it for a couple of months now and so far I'm really pleased with it.

4.0 out of 5 stars excellent product, 8 Dec. 2011
Thoroughly agree with all the previous reviews. Looks good on the dressing table, necklaces don't get twisted up, only small downside is that long necklaces don't necessarily fit too well, however it's not too much of a problem

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book, 11 Jun. 2011
This review is from: Dynamic Acrylics (Hardcover)
I already have Soraya French's DVD and decided to buy the book as well. Soraya is such a good artist, her inspirational paintings are awash with lots of bright colours in a lovely loose style. I love her dvd, but find it is so easy just to flip through the book and instantly find lots of ideas and suggestions and help on how to get so much more from acrylics. The book also, very usefully, has a brilliant chapter on using mediums. I would recommend the book to anyone, from the enthusiastic amateur to the professional artist wanting to gain a new insight into the use of waterbased paints.

4.0 out of 5 stars toothbrush heads, 26 Feb. 2011
Brush heads are good. It would be good to have a list of which Sonicare brush they can be used with. It would also be good if the packaging was easier to open, at the moment it is really difficult and you are in danger of cutting your fingers on sharp edges of plastic. I understand they have to be tamper-proof and germ-proof - maybe some sort of serrated tear-opening could be devised so you could see if it had already been opened.

The Strange Affair of Madeleine Smith: Victorian Scotland's Trial of the Century
The Strange Affair of Madeleine Smith: Victorian Scotland's Trial of the Century

4.0 out of 5 stars Fascinating true-life history, 9 Sept. 2010
I couldn't put this book down. It is an extremely well researched description of a Victorian murder mystery. Not only does it include the facts behind the case but also includes other writers' take on the events. A well written provocative account which leaves you with plenty to think about.

Between the Lines
Between the Lines
by Loretta Holmes
Edition: Paperback

3.0 out of 5 stars New author, 9 Sept. 2010
This review is from: Between the Lines (Paperback)
Interesting novel written by a new author about a young woman's journey through life towards early middle-age. Although the story was good the book came over as being in too much of a rush to reach the end with too many details skimmed over and not enough in-depth description. It lost its way somewhere between being a book and a short story.
