4.0 out of 5 stars Thought I knew the guitar riff !, 27 May 2011
When I first heard this song, thought ---now thats good, saw the video, just what is needed in these dreary wet days to cheer you up. But the more I heard it on the radio, I realised that I knew the Guitar riff from years before, just listen to Johnny Cash 'when the man comes around'
But hey, this is still a good record, well worth the purchase, not often we get a descent summer song with a good catchy tune.

5.0 out of 5 stars Vintage Trouble - find of the year !, 21 April 2011
Enquired in Amazon info on VT after watching them on Later... - 2 reviews, both saying exactly what I thought - excellent performance. Now there are 10 reviews, tomorrows repeat of the show will probably be BBC2's biggest audience in a long time.
VT have such energy and charisma about them I haven't stopped listening to the MP3 samples on Amazon.

Come on Amazon, get on the ball, and delivery.. like many I would rather have the CD in my hands than purchase the downloads.

The Zombies And Beyond
The Zombies And Beyond

5.0 out of 5 stars The Zombies and more!, 15 Oct 2010
This review is from: The Zombies And Beyond (Audio CD)
This is the CD that brings the sixties and seventies back to life - those songs you know but aren't often played on the radio.
The Zombies best known tunes -
'Time of the Season'and the original
'She's not there' (also released at a later date by Santana)
together with Colin Blunstone's
'I don't believe in Miracles' and
Argent's 'God gave rock and roll to you' & the classic
'Hold your head up'
20 tunes in total - definitely a must buy and listen to CD that cannot be faulted.

5.0 out of 5 stars Can't be bettered !!??, 12 Aug 2010
This review is from: Pulse [DVD] [2006] (DVD)
I grew up listening to others in school (boarding one), playing all sorts of weird and wonderful music not knowing just what it was they were playing (I was in the 'pop' radio 1 chart set).
I would learn that records such as 'Deep Purple in Rock, Led Zeppelin and Pink Ployd' were out there crying out to be played and played loud. Relics was one such vinyl which I got my hands on followed by DSOTM. This was the ultimate for me as my 'HiFi' (and I use that term loosely) struggling to cope with my volume demands, repeatedly played both over and over again.
DSOTM has always been a firm favourite for me, and to actually have a chance to see, on DVD, the album performed in its entirety, well, Pulse just had to be purchased.
The sound (through 5.1) is outstanding, the visuals matching perfectly. Even the talk over (And I am not frightened of dying, any time will do, I Don't mind. Why should I be frightened of ...etc) is there, Dick Parry's Sax giving top performance. And what about The Great Gig in the Sky. Clare Torry did her bit on the album in one take, and it still gives my goose bumps.
Using Sam Brown, Durga McBroom and Claudia Fontaine to perform the song gave it that differnce it needed, one singer couldn't match Clare's output - it had to have a style of its own, and it succeeds.

Disc one contains a make up of other classics, from Division Bell, The Wall, Wish you were here etc. Every one of them is an oustanding production, no flaws.
Purchase this DVD, set the TV up to play it LOUD, settle back in your comfy chair, glass of wine (or whatever is your fancy), bowl of crisps etc at hand, and ENJOY. This is the only time you'll see such performance again (granted, no Waters present).

5.0 out of 5 stars Ideal, 9 Aug 2010
Not a lot to say about product, does what it is suppose to , basically to give the MP3 protection when used in the gym. Easy to fit, easy to remove, access to all functions, and cheap. Arrived within a couple of days from order.

5.0 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT PRODUCT, 9 Aug 2010
Purchased this well over a year ago, to recharge my Sansa E260 MP3 as previously used my computer connection to do so. Have taken abroad many times for recharging MP3 (works fine with any adapter) , used at work , it has received a few knocks on the way yet has worked faultlessly. Takes less time to recharge MP3 than computer, cannot fault price nor quality. As for delivery, received it well packaged only a couple of days after order.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good purchase? - Read reviews before purchase, 9 Aug 2010
Bought the CX500 after my CX300 gave up the ghost after 6 months use ( one phone stopped working) - has its own volume control, sound is very good, different size ear buds to get that good fit and a good price. Used in the gym so gets a bit of abuse, unfortunately went the way of my CX300s, sound went in one ear piece. Build quality not its strength especially around the ear pieces themselves.
I have had Sennheiser phones for many years but now feel that quality of build has slipped big time.
It seems that there are those reviewers more than happy with their puchase, yet there are also a growing number of reviewers stating build quality as major let down, unfortunately mine is one of those.
Read ALL reviews, and question what way you are going to use your set. In the gym, I wouldn't buy, sitting at your desk or what ever, go ahead and risk it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good while they lasted, 9 Aug 2010
I purchased these on the recommendation of a friend, the sound, ease of fitting (different size of earbuds included to get a good fit)and the price though I was a bit dubious buying having read the reviews about fake copies.
Main purpose of use was in the gym so they would get a bit of treatment to say the least. During the months they worked, they were very good. I met the friend who recommended them to me one day saying that his phones had stopped working and was looking for an alternative set. Oddly enough, MY phones stopped working not long after! A third colleague has had TWO sets fail on him (both returned under warranty).
So there you have it. Four purchases that I know about, four failed units - not a very good result. It seems to point to the lack of support for the wire INTO the ear piece that is the problem. Any slight tugging here will over time result in phone failure.
I then purchased the newer CX500, outstanding item until they failed!
Was it me or what - read a review on the CX500 - buy Creative EP-830, I did, same price but the phones have strengthening around the wire into the body itself. Have had them for good while now, cannot fault them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for Ixus 90IS, 5 Aug 2010
This review is from: Dcc-60 Leather Case (Accessory)
Purchased with Ixus 90IS 2 years ago, perfect fit. Quality of build, magnetic catch, wrist strap, are the features of product. No faults yet, even with the occasional accidental drop / knock - camera no ill effects so case must be doing its job. Worthwhile buy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good - without standard lens kit, 5 Aug 2010
Have had this camera for over 2 years now (replaced ultra reliable Canon A1 - 25 years unblemished performance)
Bought with stock 18-55mmIS lens, Tamron 100-300mm zoom which was on offer with the purchase and 4GB Sandisk Extreme SDHC card.

3 inch screen is perfect for photo reviews, lightness and compactness ideal for the basic 'tourist' around town, and ease of use (point and shoot)would suit most people.

Functions vary from simple setting for type of shot (eg portrait, sport etc)to generating professional tweeks here and there (need manual open at all times at these functions or could get lost easily)

Other reviews have stated weakness of not having inbuilt IS (image stability) within the camera, but in lenses. This means paying more when purchasing additional hardware as against other makes that have IS built in. Reviews have also mentioned weakness of stock 18-55 mm lens - buy Sigma alternative (similar price) or more expensive Canon if budget allows.

Has proved to be very reliable over the couple of years, even with the occansional hard knocks it has received. Battery life has been quite exeptional, having taken charger on hols every time and never used it once when away.

If pondering over this camera or 500/550 and cannot wait for price drop against these cameras, buy the 450.
