VW Golf MK5 Rabbit Touran Caddy Wheel Center Cap 1K0 601 149 E 1K0601149E Set of 4 Pcs

1.0 out of 5 stars Poor quality, 14 Nov 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
These VW Wheel center caps ('Made in China') are not the best; i.e., there are noticeable imperfections on each cap. Of course, you get what you pay for...but I hoped for better.

*** Down to 1 star *** Caps already corroding after 8 weeks!

5.0 out of 5 stars A good direct replacement, 28 Sep 2013

My old aerial was damaged so I needed a replacement. I'm glad to say that this product has met my requirements, i.e. a new-for-old direct replacement aerial that's easy to fit (threaded insert provided).

2.0 out of 5 stars A thumbs down, I'm afraid!, 10 Jan 2013
= Durability:3.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:1.0 out of 5 stars
This product seems to be targetted at those diehard 'suspend your disbelief' magic fans who can easily get over the fact that what they've bought essentially amounts to two (in our case, ill-fitting) rubbery thumbs that light up.

'Astound your friends and family!' My daughter was astounded (as in, 'What the heck have you bought me?').

OK, so this product isn't a toy - It's intended for wannabe (serious?) magicians. However, I'm afraid my daughter couldn't take those thumbs seriously at all and just laughed dismissively at them.

Overall then, I'm going to have to give this product the thumbs down!

1.0 out of 5 stars Lucky dip, 5 Jan 2013

Looking at the reviews it's obviously pot luck whether you get a charger that works reliably or one that fails earlier than is acceptable.
I've got one that is still working OK after 6 months and another that failed after 6 months.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice TV - but Smart it isn't (i.e. Don't believe the hype)., 26 Sep 2012
Once setup this TV looks very aesthetically pleasing. The initial setup is straightforward enough to have the TV and Wi-Fi connection up and running quickly (that's despite the lack of a proper manual - Yes, there is a basic setup guide but it is of little help). The best thing about this TV is the HD picture quality (of course, in standard definition the picture suffers from the usual compression artefacts seen on larger screens).

One of the let downs for me is the UE40ES6800's barely adequate PVR and EPG functionality. Although the EPG is fast loading, it is rather basic (certainly compared to my crusty old Humax). For example, there's no one-touch scheduling or even a program name search facility. Like all TV's I've seen in this price bracket, the UE40ES6800 only has a single-tuner which means you can only record and watch channels from one multiplex at a time (so, yes, you will still need that separate dual-tuner PVR to watch and record from different TV channel multiplexes simultaneously). Another annoyance it the lack of a 'skip' function on playback (really handy for skipping over adverts on Humax). In addition, from a usability perspective, there are times when it seems that the number of button presses required to do even the most basic of things (like deleting a program) is excessive.

And so on to the so-called Smart features...It's worth bearing in mind that, despite hype to the contrary, there are not yet that many apps available for Samsung Smart TVs and most of them are unremarkable to say the least. Hopefully the quality and number of apps will improve in the near future - But I'm not holding my breath.

Another frustration is how slow it is use the Smart Hub and web browser. Apps seemingly require updating nearly every time they are run which means you need a lot of patience - Performance wise it is nowhere near as slick as on your average smartphone. Obviously, entering long strings of text using the remote will drive you insane. An alternative to buying the 70 keyboard is to use the free Samsung Remote app on your Samsung smartphone to input text - It's OK but not great. As an aside, another phone app which works quite well (at least on a Galaxy S2) is Samsung AllShare which enables media on your phone to be played/displayed on the TV.

In summary, as a HDTV the UE40ES6800 is good but otherwise leaves me feeling somewhat underwhelmed.

5.0 out of 5 stars The penumbra of uncertainty, 26 Nov 2011
I was one of the lucky few who stumbled across this amazing and unique Channel 4 series in 2004. Darkplace is a bizarre but brilliant spoof and is a show that is completely deserving of it's cult status... I'm glad to see it has survived Channel 4's appalling indifference to a show it commissioned then abandoned (boo and hiss directed at them in equal measure). Starring Matt Holness (son of Blockbuster's Bob), Richard Ayoade, Matt 'One Track Lover' Berry and the lovely and gorgeous Alice Lowe (widow of Arthur), Darkplace really did (does?) deserve a second series.

4.0 out of 5 stars I tittered and sniggered, 26 Nov 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Yes, I can confirm that this book is indeed funny...although, it has be said, I never lost control whilst reading it and it certainly didn't change my life. However, I would highly recommend this book to those who essentially appreciate a good old-fashioned wind up. Titter.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nearly...but not quite, 26 Nov 2011
This review is from: Snuff Box [DVD] (DVD)
Snuff Box is certainly more strange than funny but it sort of grows on you and I suppose I kind of enjoyed the series overall. As a fan of Darkplace and The Boosh, my expectations were perhaps unrealistically high. IMHO, it is worth watching if nothing else for it's originality, musicality and sheer silliness.

4.0 out of 5 stars Recommended - It works well., 6 Nov 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I've had two of these. My first one lasted 2 years which isn't bad. This trimmer works very well, certainly better than the usual Remington style trimmers I've used previously. It trims neatly without causing any discomfort and is also easy to keep clean (under warm running water and with gentle brushing seems to do the job).
