The Curve: From Freeloaders into Superfans: The Future of Business
The Curve: From Freeloaders into Superfans: The Future of Business
by Nicholas Lovell
Edition: Hardcover

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent dynamic read explain changing sales and pricing models for online, 27 Jun. 2014
Highly recommended read from a smart, informed tech, gaming geek, who backs it up with great, enjoyable writing too.

A fascinating analysis of how the internet has changed sales and pricing, where giving things away for free allows you to build even more valuable super fans and ultimately achieve higher revenues per product. Enjoy understanding about the the power of The Curve and what is might mean for your business or sector. You'll newly appreciate the sophistication of the pricing models run by crowdfuncing sites like KickStarter and GoFundMe and many other thought leaders.

I read this in a couple of days and felt it added lots of value to my work as a digital strategist and venture investing. Thank you for the experience Nicholas! I've recommended your book to lots of my young, tech and entrepreneurial friends in London.

Quite a deep book for those new to gold and monetary history, but an essential read for anyone wishing to understand what money really is, what it means to us, and the enormous privilege that comes from being the monopoly issuer of money (eg - a central bank).

Ferdinand Lips is still a highly respected in monetary history and economic circles, and this book is a ripping yarn of the history of gold, money, printing paper money and the all too human mismanagement of it.

Perhaps not the perfect book to get started on this journey with, but a second or third read for elevating your understanding rapidly again. You might find 'End the Fed' by Ron Paul a better start, and also an excellent book.

Having read this you will really understand what currency wars are, and why gold has been the bane of the central planners, central bankers and the greater financial authorities when they have tried to fight it and rewrite certain almost 'gravitational laws' of economics.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, read it over a weekend, and have bought copies for many friends and contacts. I have even reviewed it on my website [...] Enjoy a great and timeless read that many greats of the gold market still pay homage to!

Highly recommended to all. Couldn't put this book down...read it in a few days. Wonderful flowing prose detailing a childhood and adolesence in rural Hampshire, leading into early adulthood in the Navy. An engaging account of rural english life without any politically-correct nonsense. A book that will swell the bosom of any true Englishman with pride. At the end you will feel like you were part of it all and knew the characters yourself...surely this is the effect reading a novel is meant to have!
