I bought this case to protect my player when travelling or using outside of the home, which it does very well. However, it's a little too thick for easy operation of the player so for every day use inside the home I prefer the much thinner neoprene case (also available from Amazon). So it really depends what you want it to do - horses for courses I guess. Or just do what I did - buy both!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent case and amazing value for the money, 13 Jan. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Excellent case and amazing value for the money, exactly what I required. Keeps the phone well protected but light and thin enough not to be obtrusive. The case revolves 90 degrees in either direction in relation to the belt clip, allowing the phone to be turned to the horizontal position before sitting down (especially in the car) and thereby preventing the whole thing being pushed off the belt. I previously had a very similar Otter case for my old HTC Desire HD, but it cost 5 times as much as this one! Very pleased with it.

The watches are really nice, but unfortunately the straps are grossly overpriced crap that would be expensive at a fiver, let alone the ludicrous price charged by Swatch. The neoprene strap starts to split within months and the plastic buckle falls apart within a year or two, and since these watches have proprietory fittings, you have no choice but to buy your replacement from Swatch (or a Swatch dealer). I have already replaced the strap once; I have no intention of wasting any more of my hard-earned cash on this garbage. My lovely watch is now consigned to the trash can, along with Swatch's reputation.

Ordered it, tried it, returned it the same day. Virtually no discernible difference in sound quality to the Creative Soundblaster Roar 2 which sells at a little over half the price and is much nicer looking (however, see my review of that unit before buying!).

Unlike the Roar 2, the T7 volume could not be controlled remotely from my Sony NWZA-15A Walkman.

Also (and I admit this is a matter of personal taste) I found this speaker to be downright ugly!

2.0 out of 5 stars so you may like to read between the lines, 3 Nov. 2015
This is my second attempt at reviewing the Roar2 speaker, my first having been rejected by Amazon with no specific reason being given, so you may like to read between the lines.
WHEN it is working properly, this is a very good speaker (for bluetooth aptx) with very good sound reproduction. Not by any means HiFi quality, but perfectly acceptable. Having compared it to the Bowers & Wilkins T7 (also sold by Amazon at almost twice the price) I can say with confidence that the sound reproduction of this speaker is every bit as good, if not better than the overpriced T7, and it is also (in my personal opinion) a whole lot better looking. A big plus for me was the fact that the volume control of this unit could be controlled remotely from my Sony NWZ-15A Walkman on which is stored my entire music collection (currently 87 GB), something at which the B&W T7 woefully.
One of the major selling points of this speaker is the number of extra features it embodies, so let's look at some of them.

First, the voice prompt. Basically, this feature is used to tell you what you already know, i.e. "You have selected the (whatever) button". No doubt useful if you have galloping Alzheimers, but it's best feature is that you can disable it. Best done immediately.

Second, the "Roar" feature. Very effective at boosting not only the overall volume, but the bass as well. Once employed, you will probably never want to switch it off again - which raises the question "why not just enable it permanently in the first place and get rid of the "Roar" button altogether". Answers on a postcard to Creative.

Third, the SD Card capability. This speaker has no screen, so the ability to insert a pre-recorded SD is severely limitedby the fact that you would first need an elephantine memory to remember what tracks are on it and where, and also be prepared for long periods of silence while you frantically press the fast-forward button to find the track you want. Bit of a party killer, I think. Only really useful if you are prepared to play a selection of music from start to finish without interruption - but then, you could do that anyway from your external device by simply using a playlist, couldn't you? So what's the point?

In short, if you ignore the fact that most of the extra "features" are pretty pointless, this speaker is actually nevertheless rather good WHEN it works. I didn't buy this speaker from Amazon, electing instead to purchase direct from Creative who were offering a somewhat better deal at the time. Unfortunately the first speaker started to inexplicably 'freeze' at random within hours and had to be returned. The replacement speaker resolutely refused to allow me to disable the irritating voice prompt and also had to be returned, this time for a refund. So, two faulty speakers in succession from Creative's own online shop somewhat dented my confidence in this manufacturer's quality control procedures. Furthermore, the entire process took 8 weeks to resolve, ultimately leaving me with no speaker AND £24 out of pocket because Creative refuse to refund the cost of returning these useless speakers! Of course, you won't have this problem if you order from Amazon, whose returns process is generally impeccable, but be aware that if your speaker develops a problem after the guarantee period runs out, don't expect any help from the utterly appalling Creative (don't) Care centre.

08.01.16 Addendum
In the interest of fairness. On checking my bank statements today I have just noticed that without notification, or any communication whatsoever from Creative for over months, they have finally refunded the postage I had to pay in order to return their two faulty units. Better late than never, I suppose, but I am not inclined to improve their rating just because they finally did what they should have done three months earlier!

5.0 out of 5 stars I highly recommend it., 19 Oct. 2014
This carcam is identical in every respect (apart from the name and possibly the price!) to the DOD LS430W, even down to the playback software, and which is also available from Amazon. DOD recently released a formatting program to allow 64GB cards to be formatted for use in LS430W and I am certain it would work equally well in this carcam as well. The original link to the program is no longer working but I've found that the download is still available at the time of writing using the following link:

http://dod-tech.co.uk/files/FAT32-Formatter.exe

The original instructions for use are as follows:

Formatting a 64GB microSDXC Card for DOD Tech Cameras
64GB MicroSDXC cards can be used in all LS, CR and RX series DOD Tech cameras. Do not use the camera’s built-in format setting as it was not designed for use with 64GB cards.

1. Note: DOD Tech Canada is not responsible from any damages from the use or misuse of the formatting program

2. Remove all USB thumb drives and USB hard drives from your computer before formatting.

3. Insert the memory card into the USB Card Reader’s card slot (if the device uses microSDXC cards, please use the adapter accompanied with your memory card package).

4. Plug the USB end of the USB Card Reader into an empty USB plug on your computer.

5. A dialogue should pop up on your computer. Close the dialogue by click on the “X” on top right corner of the window.

6. Open the file downloaded (FAT32-Formatter.exe). A program named “FAT32 Formatter” should open.

7. Please select the drive letter of your USB Card Reader. The correct drive should state either 63G or 64G beside the drive letter.

8. When the correct drive has been selected, please click on “Start” at the bottom of the program

9. Please wait until the program completes its task. DO NOT REMOVE THE USB CARD READER OR THE MEMORY CARD WHEN THE PROGRAM IS IN OPERATION

10. The program will display the phrase “Done” when the task has been completed. Close the program and remove the USB card reader from your computer.

Congratulations, your 64GB memory card will now work with your DOD camera.

I hope this will be of some use to those of you who want to install a 64GB card.
I've had this carcam permanently wired into my Ford Focus for over a year now without any problems whatsoever. The clarity both day and night is exceptional, I highly recommend it.

By far the best book on terrorism ever written. Explains why it is almost impossible to defeat a determined terrorist organisation - should be required reading for military tacticians, politicians and anyone else involved in or interested in this subject. I first read this book 30 years ago, and it is still as pertinent today as ever.

Worked absolutely great in the UK. Then I made the mistake of taking it to Spain - it couldn't take the heat and the ball joint is now so loose I have to position it on the screen low down so the base of the satnav rests on the dashboard to stop it swivelling down and out of view.

I tried smearing superglue all over the joint to hold it in place, but nothing seems to work. Shame because it grips the windscreen far better than the original TomTom mount.

2.0 out of 5 stars Logitech K750 Keyboard, 6 Dec. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I bought this item in April 2013 and everything was fine for 7 months until the battery stopped holding charge. Warning - the battery cannot be changed, so when it dies that's the end of this keyboard!
Anyway, I returned it to Amazon for a replacement, but instead was sent a US version which was also a different colour. I returned this keyboard and was sent a second replacement - another identical US version. It seems Amazon are incapable of distinguishing between UK and US versions of their keyboards despite the label on the front of the box which clearly states "US International Version" - one can only wonder why Amazon UK are even stocking American keyboards in the first place, and why they seem to think there is no difference between the two.

Order if you must, but beware you may not get what you expect.

I've now wasted enough time collecting, repacking and returning this item and requested a refund.

ICY BOX IB-3640SU3 4x 3.5 inch External 4-Bay JBOD Enclosure for SATA l/ll/lll HDD

Pros: Solid, metal box with plastic fascia containing tiny blue LED lights which are clear but unobtrusive. Easy to set up and use, does what it's supposed to reasonably well without fuss. Cooling fan not noticeable on automatic or manual 1 setting, and fairly quiet on manual 2 setting. Manual 3 setting is great if your hair-drier breaks down.

Cons: The usual design fault in the cooling system, common to most hard drive cases. The cooling fan at the back draws air over the drives from the front of the completely solid case ....which has a completely solid plastic door. Clever. Someone really should explain to these designers that you can't pull hot air out unless you provide some way of letting cooler air in - simply sticking a fan on the back doesn't hack it. With 4 x 2Tb drives under load, I'm running this box with the door open at the moment, which provides a significant improvement in air flow and cooling. When I get time I'll modifiy the door with my drill - or maybe I'll just rip it off altogether. Shame really, a nice case otherwise.
