5.0 out of 5 stars Great gadget for hiding stuff, 21 Nov 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Looks realistic enough if positioned well at the right angle as only the bottom part with the sliding door gives the game away. Can also be used just as a novel way of carrying a few things around with you on your travels. Or keep it on the bedside table to stash bars of chocolate or any medicine you might be taking. Keeps these things out of view, very handy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great for me, 20 Nov 2012
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This 4.5L slow cooker by Breville is a good size for cooking meals for 2-4 people I would guess. When I first saw the box I thought it was going to be huge, but it's a nice medium size. Bigger than a basic supermarket model I already own which is only about 2L in size. The cooker comes with an instruction booklet that explains how the cooker works and has about 4 basic recipes for you to try. Four settings on the front via the dial can be set, off - low - high and Auto. I decided to test the cooker with a meal for two. A small pork roast with some mushrooms, carrots, leeks and onions using the Auto setting. Started it off in the morning and was cooked to perfection by six O Clock in the evening. Some reviewers have said the Auto function did not work for them but I did not find that to be the case. Likewise I had no problems with the lid fitting properly to keep the steam in. So far this appears to be a good slow cooker for the price and is quite stylish looking, in my opinion.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book for discovering a different cultural style to Christmas, 15 Nov 2012
This review is from: Scandinavian Christmas (Hardcover)
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
The book is very well presented and has a soft padded wipe clean cover. Useful for kitchen use when cooking. Beautifully illustrated with photos the book covers Baking as well as Jellies, Jams & Vinegars, as well as plenty of savoury dishes that lead up to and take part over the Scandinavian Christmastime period. If you're looking for something different this Christmas this book will certainly inspire you and I heartily recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best headphones I've owned, 24 Oct 2012
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
There's no disputing the stylishness and cool factor of this product. The Styrofoam skull to rest the headphones on is a nice touch and quite realistic looking. The headphones themselves do what they say on the tin, deliver amazing sounding bass from your music and the wire that protrudes from them is flat which apparently delivers better quality and durability. They are certainly comfortable to wear unlike some headphones I've used in the past. I would have no hesitation in recommending these for somebody looking for a quality pair of headphones that offer bone shattering bass.

5.0 out of 5 stars Plug & Play simplicity & Style, 23 Oct 2012
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
First impressions. In the box you get the hard drive, a USB cable and a Firewire cable. You also get the mains power plug which comes with two slot on prongs for use in UK and USA. Very handy if you travel with this. There's a quick start leaflet and 3 year limited warranty, everything else is on the actual HDD. It's pre formatted for Mac HFS and is ready to go and start using as soon as you plug it into your Mac computer. There's a driver you can download if you want to use this with a PC as well, then you've got the best of both worlds. There's also a light indicator on the front which has 4 light bars which is meant to show you how much space you've used on the drive. It's a neat idea, although not really essential. In operation it seems very quiet, virtually silent.

I've also tried it with my WDTV Live (latest model) and it works fine with that too and also powers off when you switch off the WDTV. Personally I think it's a very smart looking bit of kit and if you are looking for a mains powered external Hard Drive I would definitely check this one out.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to fit and use, 3 Oct 2012
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
Package arrived in quite a smallish box in an easy fold open design. There were surprising few pieces for this wall mount, or at least I thought so. The instructions are all on one piece of paper and the whole thing was reasonably easy to assemble and wall mount in about an hour. Had no problem attaching my 40" Samsung flat-screen and all in I would recommend this product.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not a huge step up from Pro x4, 27 Sep 2012
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
After un-installing the previous version of this software to install this latest version I wondered what was different. The box it came in was lighter and didn't come with the nice heavy instruction booklet that pro x4 did. I see that if I want access to any tutorials or any updates I have to register an account online. OK that's not too much of a hassle in this day and age but it seemed annoying, especially with the lack of the instruction booklet as an alternative. Anyway the software seemed to take three times as long to open after you double click it and then is quite sluggish. Would I 'upgrade' to this if you're happily using the pro x4 version? No.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best foodie guide, 27 Sep 2012
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This book is like a bible for people who dine out and want to know the best places to eat around the UK. Very informative, well laid out and very accessible to read. It's a handy book to take with you on holidays or weekend breaks away. So you can be a casual eater and still find this useful. The book is a bit too big to carry around with you, unless you had a big bag, but the size is perfect for planning your dining trips out before you hit the road. Recommended.

A futuristic game set in the corporate future. I never played the original back in the 90s, so I can't compare it with that, but I enjoyed this game. The single player campaign only took about 6 hours which is fair enough and comparable to many action shooter games these days. Not stand out, but neither bottom of the barrel either. Worth playing if you can get it for a good price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Big step up from the original Vodafone Smart, 20 Aug 2012
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
Having had the Smart II phone for a short while now I can say that in my view it is quite a step up from last years original smart 1 model. Look and feel is much better, sturdier. Interface, response and speed all seem much better. It has a bigger screen of course, and a higher resolution. It seems more like a pro phone, whereas the previous model smart phone felt OK but more as a kids phone. I would compare this to the Orange San Francisco android phone in terms of quality. However have owned that phone as well I think the Smart 2 is better in virtually all regards to that. If you're after a budget Pay-as-you-go phone, this is the phone to get in my opinion. I recommend it.
