A reasonably true biography of Captain Henry Morgan, a Buccaneer and 'pirate' who hated the Spanish and sacked Panama with a small army and took revenge on the leaders in Panama by locking them all up in the castle keep and blowing them up with gunpowder. He became the Governor of Jamaica and eventually died of drink and syphilis. A good bloodthirsty read.
This book is absolutely and totally ingrossing. You cant put it down. One wonders how all these islands exist so far away from anyone. As the author points out she could never visit any as they are too remote. An excellet bunk side book.
