2.0 out of 5 stars 2 badly framed disks don't = 1 good, 12 Oct. 2012
The third disappointing Hammer Blu-ray release is about to let fans down who were hoping for the definitive CURSE OF FRANKENSTEIN. Instead what we'll be getting is an academy ratio version that whacks significant info from the sides, and a thoroughly botched Widescreen version that crops the top of the frame so tightly that heads bump the ceiling. Even the Warner DVD did a better job framing the image. It's a shame because the source used here is clearly superior to the Warner release and could have provided a beautiful master had only someone been watching what they were doing.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not the original film, 29 Sept. 2012
For some baffling reason the producers of this edition have chosen to add special effects to various sequences including light beams, a wall of blue flames, lighting bolts... in an effort to modernize the films appearance. I loathe such tampering, but wouldn't care if they included the original version as well (they aren't). I'll retract this review if they do, if not, I suggest you add your own to the list if this practice bothers you as well.

1.0 out of 5 stars Fun Poverty-Row Horror, Stinko Transfer, 16 May 2006
This review is from: The Vampire Bat [DVD] (DVD)
Redemption UK, is going to lose a lot of credibility putting out dreadful looking (and sounding) DVDs like this, it's the kind of transfer one expects from a dollar-store, but they have the nerve to charge the price of a legitimate release. White Zombie and Vampyr are just as bad.
