Misleading Ads for Reduced Ink Use, 26 May 2011
On the "initial surface level", the Kodak ESP 9250 appears to offer good value for money in terms of it's features, and Kodak's claim that their printers use less ink than other Brands.
Extremely Dissapointed in the Kodak ESP 9250. Kodak claim that their printers are more economical in using ink. I think otherwise... Yep, the cartridges might be cheaper to buy, but I've had to replace 2 cartridges - both black & colour, compared to 1 with other Brand printers that I have used. So, cost is about the same as other Brands. But, it's more inconvenient & annoying because I have to replace cartrdges more often. Additionally, I used to send my previous HP & Canon empty cartridges to various companies for recyling (and perhaps "earn cashback"). Recycling companies don't accept Kodak cartridges.
The Kodak "user interface" is very basic. The Duplexor Unit, enabling doubled sided printing, is forever "jamming up". I've tried to print onto Photo paper, but after my using the various tray options, it "refuses" to accept Photo paper.
It's a waste of money, both in terms of the printer's quality, and cost of printer cartridges. Please, DON'T BUY this model....
