2.0 out of 5 stars An honest review from a longtime fan., 10 Jun 2011
I've read all the Anita Blake books to date and can say with honesty that this is not one of the better ones. Its like your just following her around while she does her daily chores, but without anything exciting. For starters, she's supposed to be this metaphysical wonder with all these powers, but never seems to use anything but her guns and knives, hmm. None of the regular men in her life are in the book apart from a couple about 10 pages from the end. This should never have been made into a full book, there isn't enough to keep readers occupied. A novella would have been much better. Hardly anything happens until right at the end!!!

If your reading this Ms Hamilton, Please for the love of your fans, give us some action! What happened to the wonderful ideas that started this series? If this is the best you can do, i think its time to end the series now.

Underworld Movie Trilogy (Graphic Novel)
Underworld Movie Trilogy (Graphic Novel)
by Nick Postic
Edition: Paperback

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Graphic Novel, 22 Dec 2010
I bought this book thinking it would be just a book about the movies with photos and behind the scenes stuff. Its not, its actually a three full graphic novels and its a great read. if you liked the movies and are into comics you'll love this book. the images are well drawn and the story is just as intense as the movies. five stars from me, enjoy!

5.0 out of 5 stars The start of something special, 7 Mar 2007
This review is from: Mona Lisa Awakening (Paperback)
When i bought this book i just couldn't put it down, it is so full of action and romance that i read it all in one day. It focuses on a young woman named Mona Lisa, who has just discovered she is not completely human. She meets an injured man called Gryphon who teaches her about her people and even more about herself. Her life becomes full of danger and new sensations lie around every corner. I can't wait to read the next book entitled Mona Lisa Blossoming, if its as good as this one then it will be fantastic!

3.0 out of 5 stars Not good enough to keep me interested., 7 Mar 2007
A bought this book after reading the first in the darkwing chronicles titled beyond the pale. All three books in the darkwing chronicles (the last being beneath the skin) tell the story of a female vampire called Daphne Urban, she has lived for over four hundred years and done many things. The first book tells of her being recruited as a spy for the American government, the second focusses on her next mission but more importantly on her relationship with an ex vampire hunter turned vampire called Darius who is also a spy. If you like more action than romance then this is the book for you. I was put off by the fact that when the story seems to get into full swing, Daphne seems to stop and reminise about her past. It becomes rather annoying after a while and put me off reading all the book at once. I got this book thinking it would be a good action romance but was sadly dissapointed. If thats what you are looking for may i suggest Mona Lisa Awakening by Sunny, its got it all.

5.0 out of 5 stars Eerie Indiana, more like weird Indiana, 24 May 2006
I first saw this series when it was on tv, i loved it immediatley. It centres around a new family that have just moved into a new town in Indiana. the young boy in the family starts to notice strange things happening around the town and along with his friend investigate them and gather proof. it's really funny and if you haven't seen it before but like the weird, strange or unusual with a bit of comedy mixed in, then you'll love it!

5.0 out of 5 stars A kick booty movie, 16 April 2006
I thought this film was ace when i first saw it at the cinema. if you like lots of fighting, some blood sucking and a little romance then this is the movie for you. if you haven't seen the first movie titled underworld, then watch it before you watch this. Selene and micheal are back for some more action and adventure. the film carries on 24hours after the first one left off with the death of viktor and the repercussions of that night. this movie however delves into the origins of the vampires and lycans and why they are at war and where they come from. it really is a good movie and i would recomend it to anyone who loves vampire movies.
