3.0 out of 5 stars Not the best, 26 April 2016

I had high hopes for this book when I started reading it but unfortunately for me it wasn't really a thriller or psychological enough as it had been hyped up to be. In fact whilst it ties up ends, it feels like a bit of an anticlimax at the end because of the information in the prologue.

1.0 out of 5 stars Oh my God...bad!, 29 Jan. 2013

Well I can see why this book was free to download...I may be doing this for the first time round but surely it is NOT right to tell your child they are going to be teased if they wear a nappy or to force them or pressure them by saying there is no money for a nappy so use the potty!. Wouldn't recommend this book to any parent!.

1.0 out of 5 stars Worst cd ever..., 14 Dec. 2009
This cd has to be the WORST tribute to the Carpenters I have ever heard!...So much so that I would give it NO STARS if I could!!!. Being an avid Carpenters fan and collector, I was interested to hear other people's interpretations...I wish I hadn't. The tracks are boring and lifeless and do absolutely NO JUSTICE to the legend that was Karen Carpenter...She would be horrified to hear these people slaughtering her magical songs I would imagine. If you are a Carpenters fans, dont bother annoying yourself with this poor imitation of a tribute, and if you are new to the Carpenters...Go buy the real thing so you dont get your opinion tainted by this tat...dont waste your money. Luckily for me I borrowed it. Phew!.

5.0 out of 5 stars Monster Fun!!, 19 Mar. 2009
This game truly is fun for all ages. Suitable for children and adults (big kids!). One of those games that can be played over and over again, (my mum is now playing it for the 4th time!!). Good graphics. Game consists of 4 areas each with 4 missions to collect bronze, silver and gold medals. Well worth the money. also has clips from the film too!.

5.0 out of 5 stars A classic, 10 Mar. 2006

I came across this film purely by accident. The acting is superb, the storyline is fanastic. Its a very humanistic film that focusses on the human life and how it changes with age. Albert Finney and Tom Courtenay are astounding and have amazing chemistry for the parts they are playing, whilst also being a subtle film that speaks volumes.

5.0 out of 5 stars What a film!, 10 Aug. 2005
This review is from: The Pianist [DVD] [2003] (DVD)
This film from Roman Polanski is one of the best factual based films I have ever watched. It tells the story of one man (Adrian Brody)and his fight to survive the war against the Germans. There are some horrifying moments in the film, but what makes it worse is the fact that these moments actually happened in real life. Brody plays the part beautifully, and as long as you are not the sort of viewer that surface watches a film, you will feel as though you are there with him as he gets ripped from his family in order to live. It has an outstanding cast including Maureen Lipman and scenery is spectacular. Not for the faint hearted, but if you appreciate a brilliant film, give this a go...Roman Polanski at his best.

5.0 out of 5 stars Delightful..., 18 Mar. 2005
This review is from: Death In Venice [1971] [DVD] (DVD)
This is an absolute classic. Dirk Bogarde is superb playing the troubled Gustav Von Aschenbach, I would go as far as to say it is one of his finest roles. Adapted from the novella of Thomas Mann, this film is a true credit to the industry of cinema. It has a very well scripted plot that tells the audience everything without needing to show graphic details. It tells of Aschenbach's obsession with a boy named Tadzio...though nothing is ever done about it, he simply watches him from a distance in an admiring manner. The ending of the film is so unbearably tragic that once you see this film it will remain with you forever... Don't let this film pass you by...watch and enjoy.
