Not a lot to say tbh. Im speechless. Just read it and the words of bobby sands MP will transport you to the H-blocks and give you an inkling of what these men had to endure at the hands of the crown.

4.0 out of 5 stars very good but..., 29 Dec 2013

really enjoyed the book and all its characters, cracking setpieces throughout the book and it was just the right length. the only thing that annoyed me, like most of the ebooks on amazon was the typos and because the story was jumping from group to group with every chapter the writer misplaced a few names which should have been in one of the other groups. this was a little off putting but it didnt take me long to get over it and by the end i was very glad that i stuck with it. i hope my next book choice is as good as this. a genuine thrill.

1.0 out of 5 stars The worst ever?, 15 Dec 2013
I dont know where to start on this book. There are so many things wrong with and i am not going to list them all because i have wasted too much time on it already but i will list the three main things that annoyed me personally. Im sure other people reading it will be annoyed at different things. 1. Spelling and grammar are completely unimportant to this writer. 2. Half of the book could have been cut, there is very lengthy needless descriptions of almost everythinng except the actual zombies/infected, the zombies are secondary. ITS A ZOMBIE STORY.
3, no consistency whatsoever. None.
Given the fact i am slating the book you would thi k i should take the tkme to detail my points but like i say, i have already wAsted more time than i care to share on this book and would like to put the whole sorry affair behind me.
If i could i'd give it zero stars. I dunno why amazon insist on their 1-5 stars policy.

1.0 out of 5 stars Awesome!!!!, 7 Nov 2013
What can i say about this product? I'm simply blown away by what ive recieved for £7.99 - about an 8th of what i expected to pay! The product is well designed and gives excellent protection. It has led lights to clearly indicate how much power is left in the unit. But most importantly the power it delivers is pretty special. I first plugged it in when my iphone had 40% left and it charged it back to 80 no problem. Then i let it go down to 30% and i again charged it back to 80% then to drain it i charged again from 40 to 78%. Thats almost 130% increase for my iphone. Absolutely delighted. My advice to anyone using these is to remember not to charge past 80 because of the iphones trickle charge which will drain more power from the device.
Overall i give this 10/10

Ok. Update. The unit no longer works at all after only 2/3 weeks. Why do so many manufacturers of this type of product get it soooo wrong. Its vary basic technology.

0/10

3.0 out of 5 stars the 'arena' just a week after the outbreak ?, 2 April 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
ok i'd like to say i was really enjoying this book until our survivors found their way to 'Avalon' - a secure base set up for millionaires in the event of an apocalypse. while i can accept there are such perks for such people in this world we live in, i cant accept that just mere days after the outbreak they had a well established gladiator style zombie vs humans set up purely for entertainment. its just too much of a stretch for me. especially the 'elite' sitting there in their big chairs with their roman style gowns and their big goblets of wine taking in the battles. really ? i could see something like that happening years into the apocalypse when all traces of humanity have vanished but we're talking about 4 or 5 days after the outbreak when people should still be like "WTF is this man?? i need to find my family, friends....." also i felt the character who ran avalon was just a blatant attempt at david morrisseys character 'the governor' in the walking dead who also puts on the same sort of entertainment in woodbury. one other small big thing. in my opinion i dont believe the word 'zombie' should exist in such books. when the dead rise it surely should be for the first time. it cant be like "is that a zombie?" "wow, its just like in the films, shoot to the head" like i said, it was good till avalon then i just couldnt wait to put it down, unfortunately i still had around 40% of the book to go.

2.0 out of 5 stars jaded formula, 17 Mar 2013
i'm absolutely sick of how these books consistently revolve around an extremely well prepared and equipped person. in this case its the standard military figure. im tired of it. its more exciting to read stories with real people in 'real' circumstances. you know, everyday people who were caught unaware and somehow managed to survive through sheer survival instinct and determination rather than calling on their extensive military training. im sure if an extinction level event does occur then some military will die and some ill equipped people will survive through willpower, survival instinct and just plain luck. i'd like to read their stories. some people may like a comprehensive report on types of guns and bullets etc, im not one of them. im sick of it.
