2.0 out of 5 stars Good value, 12 May 2011

Not a bad TV/DVD for the money and has an excellent picture. It also works well as an external monitor for a laptop.

I have two gripes: the sound quality leaves ssomething to be desired, it's a bit tinny. The owner's manual is too basic and doesn't explain all the funtions properly or what they mean.

But all in all very good value.

However, now broken after eight weeks - standby light blinks, won't move from source to sources, sometimes picture in B&W can only sort out by turning on and off and even then standby light still blinks. Amazon won't repair will only give refund. shame. hence now only 2 stars

One of the few books I have been able to read in one day for many years; mind you having the flu helped. I really got into the characters and I found the use of the old London and new London "gods" very effective. (Having lived near Purley for many years, I can well believe that vampires live in grasmere road).

Looking forward to the next in the series and some back information about the characters.

2.0 out of 5 stars Very disappointing, 22 Mar. 2011
This review is from: Kraken (Hardcover)
This book had all the elements of being a really good story - London, magic, mysterious cults. Sadly it did not live up to my expectations. The story did not flow and the characters did not engage me at all. The ending seemed very hurried. Very disappointing. The Rivers of London by Aaronovitch is a much better book.
