schmaltzy and poorly written, 27 Dec. 2011
My three year old son received this as a present and found it as dull to listen to as I did to read. Clunky verses and heavy-handed moralising, however laudable the sentiments about respecting difference. I was unsurprised to discover that Giles Andreae, the author, is also responsible for the repulsive Purple Ronnie greetings cards. Sorry to be a killjoy, as lots of reviewers here clearly loved it, but I really couldn't recommend thsi book.
