3.0 out of 5 stars OK sound quality at best..., 30 July 2015
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
First, the head phones come in basic packaging (makes a change) but they look good, are light weight and feel reasonably comfortable on for short-ish periods of time (think Tube to work).

The sound quality on bluetooth though is a bit sketchy... And this is supposed to be the core feature of the headphones so it's disappointing. As others have pointed out, they do come with a wire but it defeats the purpose surely, and I've had far far better quality wired headphones to justify the hybrid nature that these effectively take on.

For the price I wouldn't recommend them due to poor sound quality on Bluetooth but if this is ok to you, or you dont mind wiring them up when needed go for it. I'll stick to my Philips.

2.0 out of 5 stars Easy to setup and handy to have but no real value..., 26 July 2015
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
Easy to setup and get running, the Gigaset G-tag sends a message to the downloadable app when it goes out of range (up to around 30m). The idea being that you attach the tag to a device, set of keys, bag or something of value so that if it goes out of range you're alerted. Whether this is due to theft or forgetfulness isn't really taken into account and this is where the fault in the product lies.

I can't really find a permanent use for the G-tag as yet as often I am out of range of the device/keys etc that I attach it to. And this isn't by accident so to receive an alert becomes rather annoying and therefor reduces the value of the G-tag. A further flaw is that once you do realise you've 'lost' something there is no GPS tech in the G-tag so finding the exact location is impossible. This would be ok if you know where you left your G-tagged 'thing' but if it's been stolen, then what's the point? It just tells you it's out of range with no follow up possible.

And this is why I can't give the G-tag anything higher than 2 stars. It's an interesting product idea but fails in the design execution due to there being no GPS.

5.0 out of 5 stars A cool idea for mood lighting a bottle, 26 July 2015
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
A great little novelty cork that has an LED light that directs downwards into a bottle.

The cork is USB charged so means no messing around with batteries. I can see the novelty wearing off pretty soon but it'll come in handy for mood lighting a bottle of whiskey or whatever during poker.

Recommended for the quality and novelty.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good for a medium sized room on up, 25 July 2015

A decent fan that is enough to cover a bedroom or bigger. We bought this for the summer and it does the job well without being too noisy. The noise is generally unnoticeable during the day with background noise but at night in a bedroom it's noticeable, but you get used to it.

For the price you can't go wrong.

These are great. I use them to hold a thin strip of LED lights in place and they stick well. 3M do the job again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works a treat., 23 July 2015
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
Seems to be doing the trick. I've been using this only a relatively short time (I'm new to weight training) but this seems to be working for me. I'm using about one serve a day but will increase this as I gain more time to increase my training.

It tastes of strawberries as advertised and is actually quite nice. It mixes extremely well and leaves no lumps or sludge.

A word to the wise, the scoop is right at the bottom. At first I thought it hadn't come with one but it was buried. Dig around and you'll find it.

4.0 out of 5 stars An eye opener but also a bit alarmist., 19 July 2015
This review is from: That Sugar Film [DVD] (DVD)
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This film instantly reminds me of the documentary/film Fat, Sick And Nearly Dead and also Super Size Me. It's a film about how your intake of sugar can affect your body and well being. But not only that, by going on a diet of 'healthy' food only, the film maker aims to highlight how many of these 'healthy' foods in fact are not so healthy with the sugar levels they contain.

It's an alarming film but also entertaining as the film-makers approach to storytelling is decent. In other words, it's very watch-able, like the two former films I mentioned (both worth watching if you have the inclination). It's alarming in the sense that he highlights the amount of sugar in what most Western diets would consider normal or healthy food - for instance a tin of baked beans contains 18g of sugar! And it's entertaining in the sense that it's presented well and relies on graphics, celebrity cameos and animation to convey it's message.

However, the film primarily uses shock tactics to convey it's message with little reference to wider facts and figures - for instance, the figure I gave earlier, 18g in a tin of baked beans sounds a lot but when your daily recommended intake is 90g, all of a sudden it doesn't sound so bad... Either way, reducing sugar (fructose) intake can only be a good thing so despite it's methods, the message rings true. The film also ends on a cheesy note with a very questionable 'music video'. I have no words....

If anything the film has inspired me to pick up my weights again, cut out fizzy drinks (water only with the occasional treat) and strive to eat more natural foods - veg, meat/fish and grains - than I do now.

I give it four stars. It's not terrible by any means but it's let down (in my opinion) by falling back to the shock tactic methods less-than-accurate documentaries (An Inconvenient Truth springs to mind). It's worth a watch if you're able to take it with a grain of salt and common sense.

Basically eat well and in moderation and you'll be fine.
