Poke the Box
Poke the Box
by Seth Godin
Edition: Hardcover

1.0 out of 5 stars Unstructured, 25 May 2015
This review is from: Poke the Box (Hardcover)
I found this book to be poor, easily the worst "business" book I have had to read. Glib and obvious in part, incoherent elsewhere. It seemed to be just a bundle of his (frequently good) short blog posts arranged in a stream-of-consciousness style sequence.

5.0 out of 5 stars Readable store of tactics for pivoting towards lean UX, 17 April 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Very readable book that sets out the three principles for Lean UX - design thinking, Agile development methodologies and the Lean Startup approach extolled by Eric Ries - and develops from these various tactics to help UX teams embedded in large organisations become part of the lean and Agile solution, rather than sidelined onlookers. It doesn't trivialise the transition either with glib solutions - though personally I feel the most difficult people to convince to switch to Lean UX will be the UX team themselves so I think I'll have to buy 10 more copies.

3.0 out of 5 stars Just about OK, 18 Feb. 2012

Pros

1. Inexpensive

Cons

1. Uncomfortable for periods over 1 hour
2. Not good for jogging, as there is a bulky part that hangs out of the ear
3. Cable "rumple" is annoying - I think it's because they're a matte finish. My old ones were sliky and glossy and didn't rumple so much.
4. Sound quality is OK. Great detail but bass is weak.
