After seeing the video to brother on TV i went out and brought this album. After the fantastic first song the rest of the album left me a little empty. I do enjoy music of this style being a fan of Joy Division and Blondie but the organs album seems to be very lacking in musicianship. The guitar is boring and the organ playing very simple. The bass on the album is catchy enough and the vocal is good (although lyrics could be better). Its extremely retro and doesnt seem to try anything new.

Maybe with the next album the quality will have improved but this album is a real 'listen before you buy'.

This Album is possibly one of the best showcases of songwriting ability of the last 20 years! It brims with clever ideas and its is extremely well executed, anybody whos a fan of current acoustic type artists (Damian Rice, Turin Breaks ...) will love it as will fans of bands like Athlete or Feeder. The first song, Liars Club, remains my favorite song off the album, but just put it on sit back and enjoy from begining to end, an absolute bargin!
