Tom Waits' Jukebox
Tom Waits' Jukebox
Price: 10.99

5.0 out of 5 stars Oh Fred!, 5 April 2014
This review is from: Tom Waits' Jukebox (Audio CD)
This is an album of pure gold. I love Tom Waits but to say his work is better or suchlike is entirely fatuous and without any contextual flavour.

Whether or not you can buy it in the States (yes you can) and whether or not it's 'officially sanctioned' is irrelevant.

Simply enjoy and if you don't then you may be missing the point?

5.0 out of 5 stars A cracking good read, 5 Sep 2008
This review is from: Diver (Paperback)
I read a lot of books on a wide range of subjects and sometimes it can be a bit of a chore. So when something comes along that you can't put down it's really appreciated.

If your interest lies in diving, the Royal Navy, war or just humanity then I'd recommend it wholeheartedly. This is genuine Naval humour (I speak with over 20yrs experience) at its very best. Tony Groom shares a lot of himself in his book and I'd like to thank him for that.

Makes me wish I had my time again and at least of had a go at being a 'bubblehead'!

5.0 out of 5 stars Just keeps on being a favourite, 1 Nov 2007

I've had this album for years since reading an end of year review in 'Mojo'. It is always in my top 5 all time album list and is just so very fresh every time I hear it. The voice! Soulful and desperate.

I'd say buy this album and you won't regret it.
