What a fantastic short story, one of the best ive read in a while. This is the first story ive read of Mark E. Hall's and im hoping he has more similair to this in the pipeline. I loved the concept that a dairy farmer has trouble with nests of wasps in his barn. He gets some wasp killer from a local store but they become immune to this stuff and the rest i will not mention as it is for you to read. This is a fun exciting story that gripped me from the first page till the end its a must read. Cmon Mr Hall lets have more of this genre as its a great read 5 stars from me

5.0 out of 5 stars A Wicked Werewolf Western!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, 15 Oct 2012
Now i must admit i was not sure what to expect when i started reading this for two reasons, one that i have never read Eric S Browns work before and secondly the concept of a werewolf western story idea blew my mind. But this was a fantastic and exciting introduction to this authors work, right from the offset with gunslinging and blood spillage everywhere, this book i wanted more from it as i turned every page. From being introduced to the family who are a exciting bloodthirsty gang of wolves after settling a score with a member who has gone AWOL,and ready to destroy everything standing in his path, this story was fast full of action and left me wanting more and more all the time. Yes a big congratulations to Mr Brown for dragging me into his world of monsters and fantasy as i really loved it and from where thhis was left off im hoping for a sequel not too far in the distance.

This is the first book i have read from this author aand im glad that i picked it up to read.
Its a book of five short stories that are totally twisted with horror and a bit of gore in places but very well written.
My favourite two stories were Night Crawlers in which a few different people get into two taxis and something happens whhich could be classed as disturbing. Then it goes from there into something a tiny bit gorey and the type of thing you would want to be reading if you are into strange horroe.
Secondly i also enjoyed Wifebegone.com which is the story of a troubled boy whose dad remarries a woman with a daughter. Her now being his stepmum, gives lucas grief aswell as her daughter aswell which gets him down and wanting to do anything for revenge. The rest of the story eveolves around his uncle jimmy buying him a new computer, but the rest of the story will unfold as you read it.
As i say samantha has written this really well and adds an atmosphere that keeps u turning the pages constant not wanting to put it down. I really enjoyed this and hope her other work is like this as this one will make me want to buy more. 5 stars.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great short story, 10 Jun 2012

This was a really great short story that didnt take too long to read and certainly makes you think about the cuddly toys in your childrens bedrooms.
Its a story about Amy a girl who gets bullied at school by the same two girls time and time again. She tries to stay away from these girls as much as possible and even when shes at home she avoids her own mother as much as possible. She ends up retreating to her bedroom most of the time to talk to the only real friends she knows, her cuddly toys on her bed.
She mets a guy who wants to be her boyfriend and lets just say things begin to happen with the two bullies. This is another example of Mr woodheads brilliant writing style and as always the characters in the book seem to pull you in and do all the work for you. There is also a twist at the end of the book as other people have mentioned but you must buy the book to see it for yourselves.
Another must buy book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another great story, 26 May 2012
Well what can i say apart from i didnt know what to expect after reading this authors book shining in crimson. I didnt know if it could be upto the same high standard. But i was really surprised that Robert s Wilson had come out and done it again in this great short.
Its based around a gas station queue where the guy at the back is desperate for some cigarettes and the woman at the front is getting frustrated with the clerk for wrong changing him which frustratess the clerk. In turn this starts a chain of events which makes a fantastic read with alot of action in it throughout.

5.0 out of 5 stars BLOODY FANTASTIC STORIES, 26 May 2012
This review is from: Oh, the horror (Kindle Edition)
What a really great book this was.
Ive not read many great short story compilations but this one certainly was worth the read. Each story was shorter than some i have read before but they gripped you and it got you to the point of the story with fantastic description and thought into the writing.
Every story in the book drags you into the minds of the characters straight away which i really enjoyed unlike books ive read where you dont feel any connection with the people in the book at all.
I cant praise these stories more highly and hope this author brings out lots more work to this high standard as it would keep me buying them time and time again. 5 stars deffo well deserved

Life Reflections: A ghost story
Life Reflections: A ghost story
Price: £0.77

4.0 out of 5 stars a nice haunting story, 16 May 2012
Yet again this was another masterpiece from the messed up mind of ian woodhead.

This is a hauntingly good short story about a girl called daisy who cannot believe her luck at school when she bags herself a hunk called michael. Then when people round the school start saying hes been seen with another girl she cannot believe it.
So her and two of her friends vist a haunted house to go and find out the real story as to what has been going on. They end up getting caught up in a ghost story which you will enjoy.
Another good read from ian woodhead and a must read.

Zombie Armageddon 3: Infected Bodies
Zombie Armageddon 3: Infected Bodies

5.0 out of 5 stars More zombie greatness, 3 May 2012
I was really looking forward to reading this as its the third book in the Zombie apocalypse series, and i was not let down.
The story is set in an area a few miles away from the infected estate up north but in an apartment block with gym etc below it. The infected slowly but surely make thier way to this area, where a set of new characters meet them.
It kept me on the edge of my seat every page i turned especially as we meet some new kind of woman zombie which i wont say much about.
Another thing that as nice about this book was the amount of gore shot up quite alot which made it even more readable and also the fact that this book was left open yet again for another book to follow.
Overall a typical mr woodhead book full of excitement and suspense. Get out there and get it

Dark Blessings: A Collection
Dark Blessings: A Collection

5.0 out of 5 stars A great collection of shorts, 3 April 2012
This is the first time i have read anything by John Paul Allen and i was pleasently surprised, especially it being a collection of short stories.Normally im abit weary of collections because theres always a few you dont like etc but this didnt have one in it i didnt enjoy.
I liked the way that the author put his personal experiences from life at the intro to each story telling the reader the background to the story and how it came about.
My two favourite stories from this collection are "Hello Neighbour" and "House Guest",i wont go into what they are about but both are very interesting reads.
To sum it all up a brilliant collection from the mind of a great author who i will have no problem reading his books again so i recommend this to other readers. A must buy book.
