My boys (6 and 4) love his books and this one is brilliant- full of the type of animals they love reading about. I do have to adapt what's written to suit them, but that's still fine.

These are complete rubbish. Such bad quality. We've had many whoppee cushions in our house with two little boys, these were the worst quality of them all- very thin, split after first or second use. Really terrible cheap import. Don't waste your money

3.0 out of 5 stars although hooked from the start just three stars, 11 April 2013

I thought this book was going to be excellent. i was hooked from the beginning, but the kissing and touching and sexual element got very boring and repetitive. it started to get more interesting towards the second half the book, but having finished it i feel like i have wasted time reading it. its left no impressions on me, i wont be recommending it to my friends and i am glad its a kindle version so the paper hasnt been wasted.

If you are bored, fancy a very easy read, with not much about it, then this is probably a good book for you. if you have limited time to read, and want something truely enjoyable then it isn't. however i appear to be in the minority here!

3.0 out of 5 stars Misleading title, 5 July 2012

Ok i am only 3/5s of the way through but its a long book and i feel i can write a review now.

As another reviewer has said the title is misleading because its nothing about a russian concubine - it is about a russian girl searhing for her chinese communist friend. Its not been the most enjoyable book for me just because i have found the story quite boring. indeed you learn about some chinese history and there are some great old boy style british characters in there. But for me i need a story that i love if i am to really enjoy the book. I also dont like the main character Lydia at all. She a selfish rude child who doesnt seem to have any regard for anyone (other than this chinese boy) - i guess thats what teenagers are like.

Also another reviewer recommended it for a holiday read - i wouldnt. i think you need happy stories, or escapism books for a holiday and this is neither.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good, 5 July 2012

I really enjoyed this book. it was quite different to Tasmina's previous stuff, in that there wasn't as much glam and trash. There seemed to be more of a serious story with proper substance taken from the world of media law - which i am guessing was Tasminas background.

Its a great book as ever for the beach, i would have lived more romance - the excitment of this was missing a bit but nevertheless still a good book.

1.0 out of 5 stars Barely be bothered to write a review, 4 July 2012
This review is from: Fifty Shades of Grey (Paperback)
basically you'll either love it or you'll hate it. And if you are reading this review then i question why because we all know that if you are researching this book on amazon then you are going to buy it to make your own mind up and see what the hype it.

The reason i am writing a review is because i simply can not understand why people have enjoyed it. the latter part of the box is probably 50-60% sex, ie a porno book. and the rest is a degradation of Miss Steele by some block whos good looking and has money. are we all really that shallow that we fancy this man and would be happy with an ending that keeps them together? all i can say, its embarrasing if people enjoy this book.

The came across this book in the library, liked the look of the cover and took it home. and i was so glad i did.
i have no idea how historically correct the book is, but encaptured me and took me right into Celias world all those many years ago. fantastic escapism, really good and easy to read.

These cards are brilliant. They have some game suggestions included and nothing makes learning fun like playing games.

There aren't a huge amount of words so i'm now looking for another pack, but used in conjuction with other packs they are fab. perfect for my 3 year old how is learning to read.
