This is an okay app, particularly if you've experienced the printed TV & Satellite Week magazine, as this is an exact copy of it, looking and feeling the same, but there are some flaws that make this app not as good as it could (or should) be.

- It doesn't take the whole height of a Kindle HDX, it has a black bar at the top and bottom when viewed in portrait and a black bar to the left and right of the screen when viewed in landscape
- Because of the tablet size, you have to learn to go half the normal size of a printed edition
- It's very fiddly to zoom in, it feels like the feature is there as it "starts" to zoom in, but then starts moving about the page instead of finishing the zooming in, and once zoomed in, you can't zoom out with the same pinch effect, you have to double tap to restore it to the original size
- Because it's a print to screen port, some things look a little off, for example you get the heading "FilmFinder The best of the w" on one page, then onto the next page for "eek at a glance"
- Clickable hotpots on the bottom right (eg. to advertise their facebook page) causes problems turning the pages
- Slow loading of pages when you turn pages, fuzzy effect for a couple seconds before it focuses itself
- Doesn't always show the latest magazine available, particularly when you load the app outside of wifi range (shows old magazines only) even if you've already bought and paid for it
- Can't jump to pages on index/content pages or when it says "Full listings start on p53", it's a forward and back only mechanism
- Issue selection page not very responsive, often I'm pressing the button half a dozen times before it registers.

And the biggest gripe...
- It doesn't remember the last page you viewed - very annoying for those who want today's pages on view on the given day, by the time you get to Friday you have to scrub through up to 90 pages to get to the right day. The whole point of a TV guide is to have the TV guide to see what's on at the moment and imminently, and not to have to get through 90 pages to find that information out.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good game, bad network connection requirement, 4 Jun 2014

This is a great puzzle game, similar to World Mosaics on the PC.

The big let down with this app is that it requires an active network connection to start up (but not to play, once you've loaded the app, it plays without a network connection). The app doesn't need a network connection to play, therefore it shouldn't stop you from loading the game up if you don't have a network connection to hand.

Not too bad for a few minutes out each day, you make stuff, load the train, wait for it to come back with building materials for you to make more stuff. As you progress, a marketplace helps out, the mine needs mining, and the museum needs your help.

Unfortunately, and as games tend to be nowadays, this isn't one you can sit down for a few hours and enjoy, as a lot of it needs time to make (in later levels, several hours are needed for some parts), and a restrictive barn means you have to try and work out what is needed, or end up having to make it from fresh, and coming back... in a few hours again. Everything seems centred upon you coming back hours later, or the next day to finish what you started.

This game needs an active network connection, and will not load without one, even if you don't use the in-app purchasing of the green money.

4.0 out of 5 stars Lots of good stuff, lots of bad stuff, 4 Jun 2014

For this game, I'm right down the middle.

On the plus side, I like the physics, the current on the rivers, the ability to improve other people's quality of life as a settler (building taxi stops, bonus health and XP areas)

On the negative side, the launcher frequently doesn't load the content (all you get is a hamster on a wheel), getting past the log in screen, you have a strong chance of being in queues to get into the game, character selection screen is nearly naked and not showing your clothes that you're wearing in-game, too many bugs in the game where some crash the client, mobs that are way out of your abilities with nothing to indicate so (and I'm not talking about the group 2+ mobs), a lack of structure on completing the quests (some may like that, but I don't like running 1000 metres to then go to another part 1000 metres away, all I do is run, which is no fun!), and GMs that are not very intuitive and not very helpful (tell them you are stuck with a quest that will not complete even though there's a green tick on their head, get a response telling you to select the I'm stuck option, which doesn't fix the problem at hand)

If you're a World of Warcraft player, then you can feel the obvious clone that this game is, taking the exact same recipe, tweaking it here and there, and relabelling it WIldstar. Saying that, being a World of Warcraft player also helps in that a lot of the mechanics are the same, so you can jump in and feel at home. However, there are some interesting tweaks, such as the cone of effect, the cones of damage by the NPCs, the dodge facility, and there's a lot of good stuff that will make this worthy of trying.

Says "Amazon Kindle Fire HD (Not Kindle Fire, only the HD version)" but doesn't fit the Kindle Fire HD, the plug is slightly the wrong size so it won't go into the Kindle Fire HD.
