Not many books could cover such a large period of history and differing battles with such accuracy proficiency and clarity. It must be said that if you have an interest in tanks or want to know something about the main battles these weapons of war appeared in over almost the past 100 years, this is the perfect place to start your journey. The wording is clear and uncluttered and the maps bring a scale to conflicts that ring load in the public consciousness, such as, D-Day, Kursk and El Alamein. Also covered are little know or covered battle grounds, such as China (1937-45) and The Spanish Civil War.

It may be misunderstood by reviews on the Atari Times website but take the time to read the booklet and the introduction before the game starts and you will understand the plot. Though it is a bit of a strange concept for a game, give it time and you will find that this game has the potential for cult status, as there is nothing else like it out there. The graphics are nice and the game play is challenging. The sound is effective and the power ups are fairly good but not varied enough. That is my only complaint therefore 4 stars not 5.

Mexican Days: Journeys Into the Heart of Mexico
Mexican Days: Journeys Into the Heart of Mexico

5.0 out of 5 stars Forward-fast, 11 Nov 2011

Unlike the other review for this book I have read 'On Mexican Time', which I would say needs to be read to understand this book. Cohan, it would appear assumes in this text that the reader already knows his past episodes in Mexico. I do feel that this could have been called 'Still on Mexican Time' or something along those lines. This would clear up any confusion that this text is a follow-up to the previous one. This is just as good as the first book and explores the reasoning for travel and experience. Again in this book, Cohan seem to be in the right place at the right time and makes his journey slightly magical, tinged with insight and strange experiences. I must say though, read 'On Mexican Time' first or this will come across as flighty and lack the depth and warmth of the first.

Some top classic vibes from the unstoppable Brand New Heavies. This album still sounds as fresh as the year it first came out, bringing a great warm chilled-out vibe to the proceedings. Nice gospel vocals and a heavy baseline to give this album gravitas.

On Mexican Time: A New Life in San Miguel
On Mexican Time: A New Life in San Miguel
by Tony Cohan
Edition: Paperback
Price: £12.99

5.0 out of 5 stars Rewind, 5 Oct 2011
This is a very well written journal/diary base period piece, from 1985 to 1999, from an artist that sees the world from a different perspective. It is good to enter into this world and to enjoy what he has seen and has gained from his experience from living in Mexico. He tracts the time by introducing items of consumerism the slowly permeate the untouched world he first discovers from friends who have taken up residence in the sleepy town of San Miguel de Allende.

Paperboy - Lynx
Paperboy - Lynx

4.0 out of 5 stars A Good Version, 28 Sep 2011
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Paperboy - Lynx (Video Game)
Many versions of 'Paperboy' do not look or play as well as the coin-op, but it can be said that the Atari Lynx version does the original justice. Though it should be admitted that as a game, even the original, it is totally frustrating and can become quiet annoying. This said, it does make you want to return to the game to see if you can finally beat it.

= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: RoadBlasters - Lynx (Video Game)
This game will have you hooked for hours. It would not be fair to compare this game to modern road racing games. Therefore, what it does not have in graphics or sound production it makes up for with the ability to keep you coming back for more, as this is a very hard game to complete. It is equally fast and requires a high level of concentration.

This take on disco by the French band Modjo is a must for anyone who is into really into tight catchy rifts. Best listened to on a really drab day, it will lift your spirits.

This album is not just music it is medicine for the soul. If you suffer from SADs then buy this as well as a sun lamp.

I bought these for my girlfriend for her birthday, and was surprised by how solid they looked.

They do have thin straps but this just adds to the famine appeal of the shoe. They look great and I can see them lasting years with a Reef 6 Months Guarantee, they will last you longer than any similar product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Subtle, 19 Mar 2010
This review is from: Love 2 (Audio CD)
I must admit on first listening to this album I thought that Air had run out of steam.

However, after listening to the album through earphones, I started to hear the magic that makes this album so great. The subtle electronic sounds that take you first by surprise and then draw you back to hear them again, especially in the second half of the album, are just sublime. This album is a real grower so stick with it, put you earphones on and lose yourself in Air's Love 2 Subtle Magic.
