Mall: A Novel
Mall: A Novel
by Eric Bogosian
Edition: Hardcover

5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulously dark satire of aveage American lives, 1 April 2006
This review is from: Mall: A Novel (Hardcover)
This short novel opens with a shocking scene, setting the stage for a dark and thrilling satire of American life . . . the book follows a variety of seemingly unrelated lives which all overlap at one place: what else, a shopping mall. Eventually, these characters - whose secret faults are a revealing commentary of how abnormal every seemingly normal American can be - become a part of a strange and violent chain of events. Certainly not for the conservative and closed minded, Mall is a clever, easy, wierd and wrong ride through contemporary middle America.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well-informed irreverence to laugh out loud over, 9 Jan 2003
One hears about PJ O'Rourke, but the first exposure is a pleasure indeed. Opinionated, irreverent, self-effacing, often conservative and liberal at once, the author examines wealth and seeks to find some connections. His observations of the world are hysterical and, often, very accurate. Buy this book
