5.0 out of 5 stars Opens the Mind, 27 Mar 2013

I have followed Wardruna since the release of Gap Var Ginnuga in 2009, and I have to say, their music never fails to impress me. Its persistence in opening the mind allows the imagination to wander freely; something which popular chart music seems to lack. Do not take Wardruna's music at surface value - it routes far deeper than mere entertainment! This is an absolute masterpiece of soul and mind!

5.0 out of 5 stars Climax in Dissection's discography!, 6 Oct 2012

It is a real shame that Jon Nödtveidt is no longer with us, but this album is definitely Dissection's finest work. Not only is the recording of premium quality, the music and lyrical content form a compound that should be recognised throughout the world of metal. There is not a single track on this album that I personally would not rate 5 stars. A must have!

5.0 out of 5 stars A traditional ghost story brought to life., 7 Sep 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: The Woman in Black [DVD] (DVD)
Though not incredibly scary, this film recreates the classic tale of the Woman In Black to a very high standard. Anyone with an imagination, with experiences of the paranormal, or a fear of the dark will find this film both creepy and nerve-racking. It is not in your face horror, but demonstrates the experience of a classic haunting. I would definitely recommend it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolute superlative elegance!, 11 Aug 2012

This review is from: Public Dream (Paperback)
I don't usually tend to review books online (the only exception to this is if the book in question is outstandingly good or outrageously bad); fortunately, this book is just incredible! Leviston's poetry is not only packed with powerful imagery and elegant figurative language, but it also allows the mind to wander into a world created by each individual poem. She combines the archaic with the new, the romantic with the contemporary, and creates a style that is so striking that it leaves you begging for more.

I first came across Leviston's work when I watched her reading her Titian inspired poem 'Woodland Burial' on Youtube, and I was so impressed by it that I decided to purchase this book. Needless to say, I am so glad that I did! I would recommend Frances Leviston to anyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Incredible!, 17 Mar 2012
This review is from: Damnation & A Day (Audio CD)
This album has got to be one of Cradle of Filth's best - especially with regard to the lyrics! This is a must have addition to any metal or Cradle of Filth collection. This is also a great album for any literary fan as most of this album is based on John Milton's Paradise Lost. There is not a phrase superlative enough to describe this album; purchasing is a definite necessity!
