5.0 out of 5 stars My eyes, they burn!!, 6 Nov 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I previously owned an XT10 which for me was a quantum leap in torches, being previously used to non-LED flashlights, and this is a step up beyond that. As has been said, check out Youtube for indepth reviews.

The end cap MAKES the XT series from Klarus, the instant access strobe is a brilliant (pun intended) self-defence (oo did i just say that in the UK!?) feature. Indoors during daylight or anywhere at night the torch is blinding and will momentarily stun the attacker to give you a chance to run away (or take 'other' action).

A new feature on this model, which is a major flaw with LED/lith-ion torches is that it warns you when the battery is getting low (by slowly flashing when you turn it on). Most, if not all other torches of this type give full output until the battery is dead so you can be left completely in the dark with no warning!

3.0 out of 5 stars Does what it says on the tin, but..., 24 Oct 2012
Whether or not you will love, hate or be indifferent to this case I suppose will come down what you usually do with your phone.

Pro's;
- It does what it says it does! Its waterproof, dust proof and shock resistant.
- It's very slim for the level of protection it offers
- It's light for the level of protection it offers
- It's relatively easy to fit with no special tools

Con's
- It muffles your voice during telephone calls
- It ruins the video function of your phone as it effective makes them silent movies! (I was on holiday last month and went to a fireworks display that was so loud it was setting off car alarms and you could `feel' the explosions in your chest, yet they barely registered as pops on the video!)
- It's very expensive (from some retailers) for what you get
- The clear screen part can bulge away from the screen making operation awkward (there are a few internet hacks for this - such as sucking on the speak valve - but none work permanently/for long)
- The case is not designed to be put on/taken off frequently so you can't do this to get around the video sound problem
- The vibrating back panel `amplifier' feature makes sound with heavy base very buzzy
- The case isn't very `grippy' - this is entirely a personal preference as I like phone cases that `stick' to smooth surfaces i.e. silicone/rubberised cases

In summary, if you regularly need your phone in the rain/water or otherwise adverse conditions, then this is the case for you, I'd imagine extreme sports people, law enforcement and military would be good examples. Or if you're a doofus and frequently break phones by dropping them on the ground or in water, it's a good idea!

If however you're a `normal' user and you frequently use your iphone for video, you may want to have a look at a non-waterproof armoured case which does not diminish the sound.

I would not pay more than 30 for this case, I've seen it for as much as 70, which frankly is disgusting!

Contour Picatinney Mount - Gun Mount
Contour Picatinney Mount - Gun Mount
Offered by ActionCamerasUK
Price: 32.99

4.0 out of 5 stars Good for rifles, not shotguns, 3 Aug 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I've been bodging action camera mounts for my firearms for a while, usually wrapping a helmet mount around the stock but none were ideal. I also tried using the headstrap but that was ridiculously uncomfortable and normally ended up with a headache.

Fortunately i upgraded to a Contour GPS and the goggle strap mount works just aswell on a baseball cap so headview was sorted. If you want to mount directly to your firearm this is the answer though! I've tried it on .22lr, 9mm and .223 rifles and it handles the recoil fine.

HOWEVER, i then tried it on a shotgun, mounted just back from the muzzle and the camera only lasted 4 shots before it unclipped from the mount and went flying! Fortunately i was sitting at the time so the camera didn't go far. I'm sure if you clagged some tape on there too it would hold it but sort of defeats the object!

Not a bad product, and the only dedicated firearm mount i'm aware of, but the camera holder could be upgraded to handle heavier recoil
