A film I had not seen, except once on TV, since it came out in the mid-fifties. It was always one of my favourites. A very simple story about a balloon that follows a boy and eventually meets it fate at the hands of a gang of other small boys. All the balloons in Paris then come together and lift the original boy up into the sky. Wonderful colour and some superb Paris street scenes. Not the well known ones but the back streets with their shops and schools and church. Not to be missed!
