It burst virtually straight away. I know it was cheap, but you'd at least think it would last 24 hours.

5.0 out of 5 stars Anthemic!, 5 April 2013

I'd heard a lot of things about this cd, not all good, but since it arrived it's not been off my cd player. 6 cover songs that sound awesome with Joey Belladonna suiting the sound much more than John Bush. "Crawl" I already had from Worship Music and the remix of "Crawl" was something else. Either buy it as it comes or go out and get it as the complimentary 2nd cd of Worship Music. It's awesome. New to Anthrax, give it a whirl. It's inexpensive and great. Don't listen to Professional critics they haven't a clue.

5.0 out of 5 stars They just get better and so does their production., 5 April 2013

Long Live Kevin Shirley as Maiden's producer! He has taken a great concert and made it sound like it was done yesterday and not back in 1988. The sound is crisp. The Package is brilliant and if you're a Maiden fan it's a must.

5.0 out of 5 stars The final piece of the Jigsaw, 5 April 2013

How these songs never made it on to Waiting For The Siren's Call is anyone's guess. They should've released it as a special double cd. The songs are great and not just a cutting room floor exercise. And the whole thing lasts around 40 minutes. Brilliant.

4.0 out of 5 stars Ministry goes country, 3 Mar. 2012
A brilliant album although a little strange mixing Country music with the Industrial Power of Ministry. If you're a fan of Ministry / RevCo, you should already know that Buck Satan is a pseudonym of Al Jourgensen and this is the album Al has been promising for years. The tracks are heavy and the lyrics are fun. I'm now looking forward to the return of Ministry.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mindblowingly Good, 29 Oct. 2007
This review is from: Lifeline (Audio CD)
If you've never experienced Jesu, then you need to buy this EP. It is amazing. Don't expect breakneck speeds on Jesu track, but they are perfectly melodic and truly a work of art. The title track Lifeline has an tinge of New Order type keyboards in it. Okay so some people'll go Hang On theres only 4 songs here. It's worth every penny and might make you go and buy Conqueror which is also a fantastic release.

Justin Broadrick who is the man behind Jesu is also the mainman with Godflesh and Final. This is the more chilled out project he is now working on and this band should be mainstream. They deserve it!!!!!

2.0 out of 5 stars So were METALLICA in the right?, 9 Jun. 2003
This review is from: Ir8 Vs. Sexoturica (Audio CD)
Yes, ok so it's an E.P. featuring Jason Newsted on vocals. It could be anyone, he does not have the prowess of his ex-band's frontman. Who can't growl down a mic? COLOSSUS is a good track, but then you've listened to every song on this E.P.
I really wanted this E.P. to see how Devin Townsend and Newsted worked together. I'm a fan of the flamboyant Townsend and was deeply disappointed that this doesn't get out of first gear.
If you're a fan then you're going to get this to find out what its like. Save your money, as soon as you hear one song you might as well eject it.

5.0 out of 5 stars The TRUE Gods Of METAL have returned!!!!!!!, 9 Jun. 2003
Got my copy this morning. What an album. So what! if there's no solos, where on earth would you put em in these songs. From the infectious Frantic through to the last notes of All Within My Hands, you get a full on Metallica that we haven't seen before. I've been a fan from Day One and own the Infamous No Life Til Leather, but this blows that even away. If you're not used to Metallica they're all seeing the end of their 30's and sound as fresh if not fresher than some of the bands just starting out.
Songs to watch out for include the title track, ST. ANGER, MY WORLD, SHOOT ME AGAIN and SWEET AMBER.
No Solo's, No Ballads and No Orchestra's!!!!!
Don't get me wrong I love every album that METALLICA has ever released, including LOAD and Reload, but this has just upped the ante that hasn't been seen since the awesome MASTER OF PUPPETS.
Lars sounds like a man possessed on the drum kit, James' vocals are as good as ever, Bob Rock holds his own on bass (not Robert Trujillo, as other reviewers claim is playing bass. Read the sleeve notes and get yer facts right.) (Jason who!?!). And even if Kirk's solos aren't here its great to hear a two pronged rhythm guitar sound.
So any problems with ST. ANGER, none from hearing it this first time. The power and ferocity is a welcome change to the tracks on the LOAD albums and even dare I say in the 'Black' album.
Can't wait to watch the DVD.
So my fave song. Its got to be either SHOOT ME AGAIN or FRANTIC. Definitely have to be considered for future singles releases.
I bet Jason Newsted is kicking himself now hahahahahaha. Has anyone noticed that the band look like a four piece now compared to three guys and Newsted? Rob Trujillo is the perfect replacement and can't wait for the follow up to see how his writing abilities will give the band even more edge.
THEY'RE BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Cyber Metal at its best, 4 May 2003
This review is from: Hatefiles (Audio CD)
What an amazing compilation. With rarities, B sides and remixes, it really is an exceptional album. The first track is Terminate, which apparently was the last song written by Fear Factory, it's really aggressive, but the vocals have been given a new tinge. Then comes Frequency which was a b-sde for Linchpin, Demolition Racer is taken from the game of the same name. Invisible Wounds shows up as both a remix version and a demo version under the name Dark Bodies. If anyone bought the Gabber 12" from a few years ago, 2 tracks from that appears near the end of the album which ends with a brilliant new remix of New Breed.
Add to this the added remixes of the Burn cd single "Refueled and Cyberdyne" as well as Colin Richardson remixes that have never seen the light of day before and the Gary Numan only version of Cars and you have an exceptional final piece of kit for all the die hard Fear Factory fans.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best project albums you'll EVER hear!, 15 Jan. 2003
What happens when you cross Sick Of It All with Napalm Death? Answer Blod From The Soul. OK so its only Lou Koller and Shane Embury but these two individuals are the driving force behind their bands and having them together on one album is amazing.
Think Napalm power with Sick Of It All vocal and you have Hardcore at its best.
I first heard this alnum when it was released on LP and was blown away with every track. If you're a fan of either band then this is what you need.
Best tracks on the album are Vascular, Painted Life and To Spite. There is aggression and politics mixes with Power metal and grindcore riffs. Its a shame it was only one release, this project could have carried on.
