Living In the US and being a David Tennant fan, I found it hard not to want to see Broadchurch. The story was the second thing that interested me, for I do like a good mystery. The first thing was the casting. I knew most of them from other shows I have seen on BBC America and each one did an amazing job. The writing was also amazing. I kept changing my mind from one episode to the other over who the murderer was and was stunned to find out who it was. Every character has a story and each story grabs you and gets you involved and that is the markings of a great story. Of all the characters, I enjoyed Ellie Miller and Alec Hardy. Ellie for her take charge attitude and being able to cope with being partnered with crusty, grumpy, but haunted Alec. Alec was a man of secrets and inner pain, but that never kept him from trying to do his job.

If you enjoy an edge of your seat story, this is one to buy.

First off I would like to talk about the sculpting of Twigs. It looks amazingly like the character on the show, right down to that trouble making smile, and no detail was left out. His head does move, but the arms and legs don't. Which is ok because he's suppose to fly.

Second, I would like to talk about the price and size. The price is good for a figure of this size. As for the size, he is small, but isn't too big for little hands. The only caution I will add is the acorn is also tiny and might be best for parents to put this somewhere little ones can't get it until they're older.

Finally, he is a great little toy and could also be something to put on a bookcase as a decoration.

Being a fan of films like Chicken Run, I thought this was going to be a little bit longer. True, there are some really cute moments, like when poor Charles Darwin is trying to explain different types of wind, but it seemed choppy and rushed.

All in all, this is a cute companion dvd for the movie and something to take along on a short ride in the car if you have a dvd player.

The first thing you notice about this story is that the Doctor has no idea what is going on. Then, out of nowhere, he runs into an old friend who he never thought he'd see again. Jamie, on the other hand, had to grow up during what looks like a nightmare. His youthful courage had to be replaced by hardness so he could lead his men, no matter the cost. The story lures you in to find out what is going on and the combination of Colin Baker and Frazer Hines are the perfect match for telling the story. Having some of the other Doctor Who audio books, this is the best by far of the sixth Doctor's stories. Also adding some great acting is Georgia Moffett, who played Jenny on Doctor Who. She is perfect as the female lead. So, if you are looking for a great story in a series, this is a great place to start.

Hines Sight: The Life and Loves of One of Britain's Favourite Sons
Hines Sight: The Life and Loves of One of Britain's Favourite Sons
by Frazer Hines
Edition: Hardcover

5.0 out of 5 stars British Shining Star, 15 Mar 2010
When someone mentions the name Frazer Hines, most will remember him as Jamie McCrimmon from Doctor Who but he is much more than that.

In his new book, Hines Sight: The Life and Loves of One of Britain's Favourite Sons, you will read stories from his early years as a child actor to being Jamie McCrimmon to Emmerdale Farms and beyond. Instead of just quoting facts, he talks about what really went on and does it in a way that is light hearted but also serious. Be it about his childhood, his relationships with women or his love of horses and cricket.

The book is very well writen and is a must for anyone who is interested in reading about one of Britain's true shining stars.

For those of you that are Doctor Who fans and want to know more about the actor that played Jamie McCrimmon, Films, Farms and Fillies is the book for you. It was written by Frazer Hines(who played Jamie from 1966-1969.) and is a very interesting read. It goes through his childhood up until 1994 and gives you insight to his life and career. From being chased by his older brother, Ian, while wearing a werewolf mask, when he was little to falling off a horse during a race he was in. From being in a movie with Charlie Chaplin when he was nine or ten to his roles in Doctor Who and Emmerdale(Farms). From his marriage to his first wife, and the horrific divorce that followed, to his marriage to his second wife. It also explores his love of horses and playing cricket. He writes with such humor and passion that you can't put the book down and the pictures are really nice. I really did enjoy this book and it's worth buying even if you're not a Doctor Who fan.
