The effect of balanced-hand stroking and one-hand stroking upon the difficulty of typewriting copy
The effect of balanced-hand stroking and one-hand stroking upon the difficulty of typewriting copy
by Lee R Beaumont
Edition: Unknown Binding

5.0 out of 5 stars What a pity, 3 Nov 2009
It is a genuine shame that such an intriguing volume should have fallen out of print. I have often been confronted with the confounding 'effect of one-hand stroking upon the difficulty of typewriting copy'. And I am certain from the high volume of typos one encounters on live webcam blogs that there are many other users who face a similar problem. As for the complex technique of balanced-hand stroking, I am quite simply in awe of those who have mastered it. Sadly, it seems I am destined not to join them as the University of Pittsburgh no longer sees fit to disseminate Mr Beaumont's pearls of wisdom.

5.0 out of 5 stars Total Immersion in Wagner's Ring, 16 Sep 2009
This is a compilation of writings by those who have been touched and, in many cases, deeply affected by Wagner's Ring. Writings from the composer himself reveal his intense desire to challenge society with his Ring piece, along with his more ambitious aim to use it to lure foreign audiences. The book deals with all aspects of the Ring, from its tightness of structure through to its darker, more deeply concealed elements. Bravo to these talented writers for opening up Wagner's Ring on the international stage and helping us all to enjoy it.
