Great movie that serves as a nostalgia trip for this child of Belfast. What a pity Amazon have to make reference to "The British occupied part of Ireland". Irrespective of your views, Amazon are a business and should try to appear neutral.

I first caught this lot at Download doing an acoustic set and they blew me away, evoking memories of Seventies rock Gods such as Free. Saw their full set in Glasgow at the start of July and they were every bit as good. For a debut album this is very polished indeed, but not too polished. Music like this needs it's rough edges to compliment a very accomplished set of songs indeed, and boy do they provide it.

If you love melodic bluesy rock then why are you reading this - buy the damned thing. It is magnificent.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Value For Moeny, 2 Jun. 2013

Excellent value for money. Okay, the quality varies, but that is always to be expected in a release like this. UFO prove they were/are one of the all-time great live acts, although the TOTP appearances also prove that Phil Mogg couldn't mime to save his life. That aside, the clips from TOGWT are sensational.

A great album which provided a refreshingly up to date blast from the past. Great service too. Mike Tramps vocals are a delight and this album has aged terrifcially well. Highy recommended.

As always, Pearl Jam produce, and how? This is on a par with their usual output and shows a different side of a multi-talented group. Okay, it is an older recording with lots of more recent songs absent, understandably, but it is still a unique document of the time and well worth every penny. If you're a PJ fan then treat yourself; if you're not, then do likewise. I'd be surprised if any rock fan found this disappointing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pain of Salvation - Remedy Lane, 26 Feb. 2012

Quite simply one of the most innovative and progressive bands around, Pain of Salvation have continued to produce quality music throughout and long and vastly under rated career. This is one of their earlier works, but there is no discernible drop in quality; in fact this is a masterpiece from start to finish. Crushing riffs, moments of utter tenderness and reflection, comnbined with intelligent lyrics asking highly relevant questions all go to make a landmark album from a classic band.

Cynic have followed through on their ground breaking debut release, albeit way too many years late. Thoughtful intelligent music that, although short in duration, is long on quality and mood.

4.0 out of 5 stars Heep on air, 13 Aug. 2011

If you've seen Uriah Heep live and are a fan of the group, then this is just the album for you. Spread over sixteen tracks, this November 2003 concert from The Astoria features guest appearances from John Lawton and the divine Heather Findlay as the boys prove that they are no nostalgia act. Bernie Shaw's voice is superb and he is ably backed by a band who are, quite simply, on fire. Lots of superb renditions of old favourites and a first rate gig all round.

My advice - buy it now!

4.0 out of 5 stars Heeps to admire, 13 Aug. 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The sound on this album isn't quite up there with classic live cuts, such as the seminal "Strangers in the Night", (then again, what is?), but it is a brilliant souvenir of the recent Heep live experience, and that is an experience that really should be "experienced", if you can forgive the repetition. The "bootleg" mixes the best of the fine "Wake The Sleeper" album with all the golden oldies, and the Hungarian crowd roar their approval lustily as the boys turn in yet another spectacular performance.

How good is it? I've already got my tickets to see them in Glasgow this December, and if they can reproduce this then I'll be going home very happy indeed.
