I just love Mortimer`s laid back style of humor. Intelligent, and very amusing. Letters that I can read over and over again.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not even funny or the slightest bit, 30 Jun 2014

Badly witten. Just a load of cheap porn with over use of the F word. Not even funny or the slightest bit entertaining

A Perfectly Good Man
A Perfectly Good Man

5.0 out of 5 stars a good read, 14 Feb 2014

Holiday reading chosen by Richard and Judy. Taut and interesting throughout with many surprises that kept up the momentum.
A book that dealt sympathetically with the vagaries of human experience in the core of suspicion and hate.

It gave me an insight into s healthy option to black tea ( which I drink rather to excess) and I find that I am liking it more and more,,especially with the alternative flavors that can be added to make the tea less bitter. However, It is an acquired taste but I am persisting......

4.0 out of 5 stars The usual Robinson -intelligent and atmospheric, 3 July 2013

A good read but not, in my opinion quite up to the usual Robinson standard. That is only my opinion. Other readers will probably enjoy it especially if they are coming to Robinson for the first time.

Another great book. They all recall the early 30s and Thomas Henry`s illustrations are a superb comment on the period.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great laugh, 3 July 2013

As a strong supporter of ¨William- as a child many years ago, I find I can read his adventures today and still chuckle over them.
Wonderful writing. ....never condescending to age or sex. I just love them all and intend to order the lot.

The Bellini Madonna
The Bellini Madonna
Price: £3.79

4.0 out of 5 stars Interesting and exciting in parts, 3 July 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
A beautifully written novel...exquisite prose.
Plot rather involved. Often two or more events take place at the same time.
Ending surprising - especially for the `anti-hero`

4.0 out of 5 stars Interesting and factual, 3 Jun 2013

Well researched and non-romantic history of a strange enigmatic woman who played a great part in the French wartime resistance.
Difficult to really get to know why she attracted so many admirers that played along side her clandestine activities. Her unfortunate demise was a shock that should not have happened. I am also ashamed of the way Churchill let Poland down during and after the war.
A fine bit of research.
